jburlowski
A very good friend of ours died last night after battling ALS. Ann was so vibrant and full of life. Joan and I sat silently on the deck sipping AHH 16 (she was a bourbon lover and Hirsch was her favorite), staring at the trees and enjoying the memories. mrviognier
Spent the good part of this week trying to convince the fine folks at the IRS that I didn't owe them $400+K. Two hours ago they called to say, "You're absolutely right, you don't owe us a thing". Have put a serious dent in a new bottle of 4R Mariage. Might be drained by the end of the night. hectic1
I spent an afternoon and night on the porch at DougDog's and I can honestly say that I haven't had better bourbon then I had yesterday...unfortunately none of it is available for purchase on the shelves. I guess it's a small price to pay for getting to taste some great stuff! Thanks again Doug and Barb for the hospitality!

Which goes better with hamburgers?"At any rate...had a VSOF this afternoon with an ice cube, really hit the spot. Probably gonna stick with wheaters tonight. ILLfarmboy
Which was more enjoyable, the Dickel or the movie? The whiskey was good to the last drop, the movie was good, (much better than the last re-make/re-invisioning up till the last scene), which was less plausible than the rest of the picture. See the movie, you'll know what I mean.

See the movie, you'll know what I mean.Thanks. I love the old "Ape" movies and plan to see this modern version. Poor endings after a good body of work is always a drag though. I'll have to decide what to fill my flask with in order to soften the "less plausible" ending. I hate when that happens!

smokinjoe
Bounced around a bit, this evening. But, have settled in with a couple of pours of BHC VSOF 12 Yr. A perfect representative of what a "wheater" should be. While enjoying this beauty, I'm having one of those "Epiphanal Moments", while I contemplate what a "wheater" is truly supposed to be. I mean, why do wheat as a flavor grain? And, what does that bring? And, I've come to the conclusion that there is only one example produced today. Think about it.
