Last night it was Jameson 12 and Ginger to start while out to dinner with my wife for our 7th wedding anniversary. I followed that up back at the hotel with some Ritt BIB and Ginger and some FR OBSV Single Barrel...definitely in the top 2 FR's bottlings that I've had. I was happy that I brought some bottles with me after seeing the selection at the hotel bars...

Finishing off my bottle of Devil's Cut. While I will probably not buy another bottle, I've been slowly drinking it down, and it DOES improve somewhat as the bottle gets emptier. Next in line is the Willet in the 'I Dream of Genie' bottle, which will be much more enjoyable.

Just finished a nice pour of William Larue Weller from the Makers Mark Lounge at Indiana Live Casino. They opened right at the 2nd break of the poker tourney I was playing. Unfortunately, it didn't bring me enough luck as I was knocked out 2 places before the final table.

Having an ND night. Started with ND OGD BIB, went to ND Old Crow 6 year, now on ND Old Taylor.

In an attempt to beat the heat at Mid-Ohio today, I had a couple pours of Weller 12 (2005 KBS barrel #4) and a cube or two while hanging out with Doubleblank.

It didn't seem to make it any cooler, but I really didn't care.

An ND night is always a good night. Which ND Old Taylor bottle are you drinking?

The night got better once I switched from mai tais to whiskey.

A few friends and I enjoyed some Pappy 15, ER17, Blanton's, 2006 OFBB, Angels Envy and Lion's Pride 47th Ward after dinner at mine. And I'm grateful that the wife still prefers Maker's Mark to the pricier stuff.

Had a 1:1 vatting of WSR and OWA last night - it brought the proof to 98.5, and tasted pretty good.

A small glass of Winwood before going to see the new Apes movie with my daughter. Wife won't go.

Weller 12 followed by VOB BIB. I really should move to Louisville, but the wife won't hear of it

Started with Bulleit rye, then Rebel Yell, then my own "extra aged" EWB experiment.

How was the movie? Worth seeing?

Started off this evening with a pour of FR OBSV, followed by THH 2010. Two very good pours.

I have to clear out some bottles, I am at an all time high.

I have 12 open bottles, way to many so I am working on the Maker's 46, neat.

What a coincedance, I just checked the mail and I got some stickers from MM to be placed on a bar tab that say "Thanks for serving M46 I'll be back."

(just between you and me, I ain't buying anymore M46 after this bottle is gone)

I just got the same stickers. It's a cool little marketing tool, but I doubt I'll be packing the stickers everywhere I go. The envelope was nice, too.

I may buy another bottle for holidays with the in-laws, but probably not for myself.
