I hope you like it. It's not for every day, but it does hit the spot with me from time to time. I've found the EW BIB's to handle a cool down in the fridge quite well. Another good cooler that I like is Old Forester Signature. 100, and plus proofers seem to hold up well.

Cheers!

I did like it! The nose was a bit sweeter, probably the cold toned down the alcohol. It still has a rich, nutty and vanilla flavor that I find at room temp. Quite a nice change, I must say.

Maybe I'll throw a bottle of MC BIB in today and see how that holds up.

Sounds yummy! I enjoyed a doubly perfect Manhattan with a supper of Reubens (made with my signature smoked corned beef) and a fennel/potato gratin (the fennel was from the local farmer's market).

1.5 oz of Benchmark, 1.5 oz of Baby Saz, .75 oz of Cinzano Rosso, .75 oz of Noilly Pratt Dry +Angostura bitters. Very tasty.

Having a little WT101 that I had in the 'fridge - nice on a warm evening. The RR 10/90 is also good at 'fridge temp. on a warm summer night.

Yep, listening to the Braves on the radio, in the garage. If nothing, I am predictable. Enjoying a nice breeze from the little T-storm that's moving through. Belly's full of grilled cheese brats from my buddies newly opened butcher shop. And, one freakin' awesome Bulleit rye and Ale-8-One (with a few shakes of Regan's Orange Bitters thrown in). OK, it's my third. :) All of this coupled with a full day of diggin' a big hole in hard, Gawgah, red clay, will probably make this a short night. Regardless, a nice late-Summer evening, here Down South.

A little OT: I recently went down to GA to visit relatives in Macon (I moved from there to NY when I was 8.) It amazed me how far the red clay is spread throughout the state. I noticed it was all over Jones county during my travels. Are you near Jones county?

Back on topic: some EW BiB from the 'fridge followed by MC.

Finishing up tonight with a chilled pour of Evan Williams BIB White Label. It's been my Summer "fridge bourbon" this year. Fantastic whiskey at any temperature.

Two powerhouse bourbons this morning! PHC 2010 and FRSB LE 2011

Sweetness and Spice. Both excellent pours but I'd buy the PHC 2010 first just personal preference.

A little maker's 46, neat.

It loks like a warm week coming up and as I don't much like to drink whiskey when I come home hot and tired I thought I'd get in a few pours before the weekend is gone.

Very nice...I haven't picked up a bottle of the FRSB LE 2011, but I'll probably grab one soon. How does it compare to the 2010?

Not bourbon, but close...my first ever pour of JDSB. I've avoided this one for a long time, and while it won't replace any of my favorite pours, I wish I'd tried it sooner. Very nice, if a bit sweet compared to my go-to whiskeys.

Best,

Tim

Yep, you beat me by 20 minutes.

I am sipping a private store selection of Buffalo Trace, neat.

As with the standard shelf BT's this also is pretty lame, grassy/piney/minty just doesn't work for me.

The only reason I bought it was to get in the good graces of the store so that I can score some rationed and limited editions of other bourbons that will be released this Autumn.

Tonight I am enjoying several pours of AAA 10 y/o along with a LHC Core cigar. Nice way to end the evening.

Having a nightcap of ER 101 after a weird day at work, and a long evening getting some things done around the house. It's really hitting the spot tonight. Joe

I don't know this is the FRSB LE I've drank.

The 2011 is a very good high quality bourbon. I just prefer wheated bourbon or rye.

Killed a bottle of PVW 15 and a bottle of PVW 20 in great company last night. The bottles were rather low. They had it coming.
