Had to try all the new bottles I bought today

Sazerac Rye - had it before but I love this bottle. Great value. Excellent whiskey

Virginia Gentleman 90° - had to see what it was about. Pleasantly surprised. Tasty and sweet, easy to drink

Col E H Taylor - very unique and a good drink overall. Would love to see a 10 or 12 yr version of this

Parker's 10 wheated - amazing

George T Stagg 141.4° - mind numbingly good. Been sitting on a glass for an hour now

Going to keep it simple. Will be having Beam Black until I turn in tonight.

EWSB '96. This one has a unique, nutty flavor that I haven't noticed in any other EWSB I've tried. Glad I bunkered another one!

Finished the evening with a pour of RHF. I don't visit this bottle often, but it's always good when I do.

I'm finishing off my bottle of Wild Turkey Rye. I was all set to defend it from callmeox's attacks comparing it to diesel fuel, but I am now realizing that I really can't. Ugh. Not even ginger ale can salvage it.

Decided to break into the Rebel Yell 90pr 1984 that I found last week. Definitely a SW bourbon...can't wait so see how this one opens up in the glass as well as how it changes in the bottle. Big Rich nose filled with maple and brown sugar, dried fruit on the pallet with a little dryness/wood/ on the finish.

A blend of bourbons to which I added a light touch of a dry Sazerac I keep. It added just the touch of sweetness and spice I like but on a rich, integrated whiskey base.

Drinking some bourbon and ginger ale tonight. First was OWA with ginger, and it just didn't quite work (I wanted to try a wheater in this drink). Second was a Fighting Cock with ginger, and it's a much better pairing.

I know Bob (hectic) prefers a rye whiskey when he makes a whiskey and ginger, but I think that bourbon lends itself quite nicely to this cocktail.

Binnys Weller 12

Over the fourth I tried Rye and Ginger with Ritt BIB and Bulleit rye. I thought the Bulleit was a better mix.

I had the Willet 3year with Ginger Ale and it has become a regular around my house. I guess its close to the same whiskey as the Bulleit, just higher proof. The only problem is, I go through the bottle quicker when I mix it in the ginger ale.

I'm cheating a little tonight. Found some Laphroaig 10 on sale for $30. There is a whole lot of flavor in this bottle for only 86pf and only $30.

Laphroaig is like some good curried Thai food. You will remember it all the next day as the smells seep out of your pores.

Started the evening by finishing an open bottle of Eagle Rare 10. Now enjoying a pour of Buffalo Trace.

After a relaxing Saturday spent entirely in the emergency room, finally home with a generous pour of 4R 2009 Ltd. Ed. - by far the best part of this day.

A little WLW SR on an easy Sunday morning.

I'm a little late today as I had some errands to complete. Now to water the grass.

Having a pour of Weller 12. This was my first bottle, and it's really good; however, based the price, I'd go with Weller SR or OWA every time.
