ORVW 107 for $36+tax. Finally a pretty reasonable price. Still sad I passed on bottles at less than that just a few years ago.

Found a couple EWB 7s and a strip-stamped HH 86 today. Excited to tasted age-stated EWB and pre-fire HH.

After the good threads on Vintage 17, I grabbed a bottle for the bunker. Also got a JD 1981 Gold Medal as a gift, cool little add to the collection.

Since I guess BT isn't killing OWA, I jumped back on the PVW merry-go-round. I got on the Spec's Spring list in time to get the last bottle of Spring 2012 VW 12 year Lot B. Paid $52+tax. Also got a Liter bottle of Weller 12 a week ago.

Bought the last WTRye 101 in my county today.

No WTRye 81 on the shelf, no Ritt on the shelf, no Baby Saz on the shelf....only Beam Rye left. My Pennsylvania Rye forefathers would be ashamed.

I bit the bullet and got a bottle of WT Rare Breed. Not 100% certain but I think this bottle is from 2009 or 2010.

I went to a local store looking for the OFBB '08 I passed on several weeks back, only to find out it was sold two days ago. Should have pulled the trigger then, but I settled for a conventional FR1B from 2010. Lesson learned.

Got some good tax news--we're getting a refund for the first time in years--and so splurged on an EC18 (1991 barrel date) and an Aberlour A'bunadh. Tried both of them tonight, and while they are both great, I think the EC18 edged out a slight victory. What a nice nose on the EC18.

Really, there's no comparing these two they are so different.

Passed up a PVW15 Spring release. Yes, I know. I do love it. But I've had it many times, and I hadn't had EC18 in ages, & hadn't ever had Aberlour A'bundah.

Saw I was running low on ORVW10/107. Did a quick search on google and found a store willing to ship it to me at $35 + Tax & Shipping. Bought their last two bottles.

Aren't these supposed to be hard to get?

Where I'm at in CNY none of the local stores were allocated any Van Winkle stuff for both the last fall and this spring.

I grabbed a McKenna BIB barrel #8 from Ledgers Liquors. It was the last bottle on the shelf and they're getting in a new barrel in a few weeks. I think I'll grab another for educational purposes.

Plenty of stores in NY state or NJ will ship to you. Just have to find them

Rain got us off the course early today so I did a little whiskey run and picked up a WTRB and Willett 4 year old Rye. I have only had the Willett bourbon once, but never came across a rye before.

The Willett 4 year rye is wonderful stuff! I find it does need a splash of water though.

Grabbed a spring release PVW 15. I spent two whole days waiting for someone to grab it off the shelf before I broke down and did so myself. Looking forward to trying the 100% Bufallo Trace distallate.
