meadeweber
Without getting into the question of how they might increase distribution of ECBP with their stocks of EC12, I would speculate that you simply have good timing if you are spotting more ECBP. Now I suppose, that if you previously saw 3 bottles on the shelf but now you see 12 bottles, then there may be a bit bigger of a distribution. But that only goes so far if those 12 bottles don't get replaced when they are purchased. Bottom line, I still think that ECBP is highly limited and there simply does not seem to be much to go around. I have not seen one on a shelf here in NJ in years, but I at least bought a few in its early days so I have some around. I'm SURE we have received more ECBP this release. It has noting to do with timing. However, I'm talking about one small market in a large nation. We will have to wait and see if others are seeing more of #9 or this was just a regional/ local thing. fozzy71
I finally got a bottle of this (batch 8 I think) and can't wait to finally open it when I have some more shelf space to pull it out of the bunker.
dcbt
I think they've been cherry picking better barrels for ECBP, too, but I would guess they're selecting to a similar profile. ECBP diluted with water is better to me than most standard batches of EC12 I've had.
Louisiana
Why do you think what I proposed would decrease the quality of ECBP?

M777
Scored a batch #9 today in NE IL for $65 after tax, a bit steep but at least I was able to get to it before the flippers did.

fozzy71
Just had my first sip of batch 8, wow. I don't normally start on the highest proof for the night but I wanted a fresh pallet for this and it's amazing. It was just a 1 oz pour so after 2 or 3 small sips I added a couple ML of RO water to proof it down and taste the differences. Amazing both ways. I will savor this bottle and pray I end up finding another batch 9 some day.

M777
For every "flipper" that you worried about beating to the punch, there were 100 regular enthusiasts you beat, as well...See! You did even better than you thought! So that makes me lucky "enthusiast" #101.
flahute
So that makes me lucky "enthusiast" #101.For what it's worth, I don't see ECBP being flipped much. I don't claim to be the best connected so I may be unaware of it though.
callmeox
Please refrain from posting specifics in the forums regarding the secondary market. I've cleaned up a bit, so if you see that a recent post has gone missing it was me. Thanks for your cooperation.
Niner Outlaw
For the first time in a long time, ECBP showed up in East Texas last week.
Louisiana
I got batch #8 about 3 months ago. Went to pick up batch #9 yesterday and found that they got another shipment of batch #8. Has anyone compared batch #9 to any of the others in a SBS. I was gonna try this, but don't have the new release yet.
OldKentucky
Ill be traveling through Chicago to Greenbay this weekend. If anyone on here has seen a bottle on the shelf along the way a PM would be appreciated.
Louisiana
Any thoughts on the newest ECBP Batch #9?Does it size up to past releases or better/worse?
taddraughn
What's everyone think of this release? I have a bottle and noticed that there has been another sitting on my local store's shelf for a couple weeks. Haven't really seen any reviews of it at all, which is kinda odd
amg
I've stopped bothering to compare the different batches because they've all been consistently great. If I saw the new batch at a reasonable price I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.
flahute
Too many batches out there at this point for them all to be reviewed I believe. As amg said, they're all good and differences between them are minimal.

I see a lot of people saying they see it for 65+
Louisiana
Have bought a dozen of these and it's some of the best money I've spent. They are from batch 5-8. There are differences, but all are very good. Paid between $49-$54 per bottle. Hope the 65+ stays away from here! Seems all brands keep inching in price every other month though. jaxn slim
I saw a bottle in NJ this week. I really wanted it, but they were asking $85! Yikes. Another store in the area said they would order it for me for $57/bottle. But I'll have to wait until the next batch in the spring.

I think I would pass if was above $59.
