Yeti
I get by with a little help from my friends.
smknjoe
Good score Yeti. I picked up a lone bottle of EWSB 2000 and a couple of bottles of ETL as well.

higgins
Finally picked up a bottle of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof today. Also decided to get some KCSB and Dickel while I was at it.
JPBoston
Tried to special order ETL at Total Wine and was denied by a lazy employee (again). Gonna call and ask for their 'whiskey expert' and see what he can do for me. Wound up getting my old faithful that I hadn't gotten in over 6 months -- a Family Sized jug of EWB. Damn good stuff.FWIW -- In AZ, prices just went way up over the last couple weeks (on the lower and mid shelves, anyway). Off the top of my head, from my visit tonight:Fighting Cock - Before: $13.99 Now: $16.99OWA: $18.99 ---> $21.99BT: $19.99---> $22.99Benchmark 1.75L: $12.99----> $18.99Sad times, indeed. tanstaafl2
Haven't even managed to fully unpack my boxes from the weekend to see what I got! Amazing how many bottles it takes to prepare just four cocktails although I did have a few backups as well had they been needed. For bourbon I got a AAA 10 year just to try, a couple of the TPS blend of Angel's Envy, a FRSBLE 2013 and the Bardstown Kroger FRSmBLE 2012 in addition to the ECBP gift shop 129.7 proof bottle to try against the current retail bottle. Also picked up a bottle of WR with the Derby label for a friend hosting a derby party this week along with some of the WR mint julep bourbon balls and assorted other bourbon ball candy for the party. Probably something else but I can't recall at the moment. Also picked up some non bourbon stuff that I will post in the Foreign Whisky thread at some point including another Legacy. Not something that is likely to be around forever despite the rather painful price.
black mamba
Nothing special but the prices: 4RYL for $10.99 and OGD114 (yes, the 114!) for $17.99. Got a couple of each.
smknjoe
I can't endorse Jefferson 21, but I definitely am on the other side on the PHC 12. I think it's worth the money... But as you say, no one can know what you'll think of it until you try some. Hope you get a chance to do that sometime, seems like it will still be available on shelves for a while yet.I picked up a bottle today. I doubt it will be around long in these parts.Edit: also picked up my first bottle of Old Forester 100 with the diamond logo for $17.00 Edited April 30, 2013 by smknjoe

Kyjd75
A trade rather than a purchase, but thanks to KyFriedChicken I now have an additional two (2) OFBB 2012 for the bunker.
fishnbowljoe
I was pretty frugal down at the Sampler for a change. My supply of BIB's at home was getting just a little low, so I took the opportunity to stock up on a few while I was in Bardstown. Here's what I bought.6 bottles of HH White Label 6yr BIB1 bottle of HH gold label BIB1 bottle of VOB 100 proofMy total bill was less than $90. In previous trips to Bardstown, I've spent almost that much on one bottle. :skep:

Sasquatch
Just picked up another VWFRR. Aside from the wait it was relatively painless this time. Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk
GaryT
Was on my way to pick up some JPS18 I left behind only to find that "your lawyer friend Bill got em" :skep: Not that I can blame him - my fault for not picking them up the first time (expected to spend a lot more at the Sampler as well). Tucker
I'll pick up a store selection of FR1B whenever I see one. Today's buy from a local shop, bottled just last month, is from the same warehouse and general vicinity as the barrels selected for the 2013 Great Steamboat Race (on sale at the FR gift shop). Both are a little darker and have more depth and spice than I recall from other single barrels. Delicious!

Sorry for not being more familiar with the acronyms but I did check the list posted here on SB and didn't see that one. Is it Four Roses Single Barrel? KyFriedChicken
A trade rather than a purchase, but thanks to KyFriedChicken I now have an additional two (2) OFBB 2012 for the bunker.Glad to make the trade. I doubt that my trade will ever hit a bunker. I'll have to open an OFBB 2012 I still have some night and compare notes with you. Hope Eric enjoys his find as well. That was the last bottle left and I had a taste at the shop and last night again. A little sweet until you add a little water or in my case EC12 90Proof. My math came to 112.1 and it was great. Can't wait to start playing with the proof on your bottle.

bingstein
I haven't posted for awhile because I haven't been drinking or buying bourbon recently for some stupid reason. But I am back on the wagon and to celebrate bought a bottle of Lot B today. It's the one VW I haven't tried yet for some reason.
