I'm trying to polish off the Willet pot swill, so I started out there. Moved on to the KCBP which is much better.

I used to be a fan of WT101--until I wasn't any more as they started adding younger bourbon to the mix. But I bought a liter at Costco because they caught my eye with a shelf tag that said it was 8YO. Well, no it isn't. But by that point the price convinced me to give it another shot (so to speak). Am about half way through the liter and find myself liking WT101 again. By this point my palate has undoubtedly forgotten what WT once tasted like so I am tasting it on its own merits rather than comparing it to a higher standard.

HHBIB6

a bit smoother than i remembered, which is not the best thing to me.

im gonna have to get some HHBIB gold to compare with it

HH6 BIB. havent had it in a while. ill also have to get a HH gold BIB to compare, again

I'm interested in this. Had to go get a EW BIB to compare with the Gold label. Definitely have their own merits.

I'm doing my best to kill an OGDBIB/HH6BIB vatting before bed, but I think it's going to win by about 2-3 oz.

what ratio and how do you like that mix?

im not a fan of OGD BIB, but maybe the OGD114 and some HH6 together would be good....

Did a FR tasting last night. Started w YL for reference then went straight to the SB's. Did a side by side w private selection OBSF and OESF. (B was the clear fav- thanks to P&M good pick) Also checked in on a 2013 1BLE, a 2010 SmBLE and a 17 yr Rutledge gift shop pick. The 17 was easily the best of the bunch.

Thanks. I love the b too. Good news is that the yield was higher on that barrel too.

I thought the willetts would be in for Ky bbn festival but it looks like that won't be the case. A bottling machine breakdown has led to a 6 wk siesta in bottling WFE barrel selections.

FC for the USC-Georgia game. (Sorry, Californians, the real USC is South Carolina.) Started drinking FC because of the name connection with the team. Now drink it on its own merits but save it up for game day because it's not available in OH. I know, that's simply shocking. Shocking.

Last night, the last of some Fighting Cock, and a pour of Charter 10.

Tonight I am thinking something barrel proof, or maybe the SB Blend

Having a splash of Four Roses Single Barrel 2013 to celebrate the birth of my baby daughter, our first child! If it had been a boy, I would have had a pour of George T. Stagg. ;)
