Since there is no "Super Premium" section on this board, I will post here. I had a few solid pours of Jim Beam White 4-year old huge batch on the rocks while watching a few episodes of Justified season 3 on DVD. Both the bourbon and the shows were perfect for the evening.

Sipping some PHC PoH at the moment in a glencairn. Have some Hooker's House taking in some air in another.

Making some progress on my "open bottle" problem. Going down tonight: EC12 and Hirsch. About one small pour left of each.

I have to say, this hooker's house greatly benefits from some air. I am getting a strong peanut butter/nutella flavor that is not at all displeasing.

Getting ready to sit down to do some paperwork in my hotel with a neat pour of Buffalo Trace. Like it has been for some time now, this whiskey is right in my wheelhouse. Deep, rich, leather, with just the right touch of clover honey sweetness to keep it from being brooding. :yum: Yeah, and I like the packaging presentation, too...

Always a good sign when there's paperwork to be completed, bro! Heading for some BT, myself, now.

green label HH 6/90. getting to be a tossup to whether I prefer this or the 6 year BIB HH.

Fox, I can't seem find the HH BIB so I will settle for the 6/90. The taste to $ ratio is great isn't it?

i find myself going to those two 90% of the time, and I find myself wondering lately why I even consider buying anything else. Gimme those two and Dickel 9 year, and I have bourbons/whiskeys to fit most every mood and am consistently happy with them all.

Plus, when its something you truly enjoy and you can walk out of a store with an entire case for $100-$120...a similar amount to what others pay for one bottle of something...it makes you almost giggle, like you're onto a secret no one else knows

you're in KY and you cant find HH BIB's? There's a white and a gold labeled BIB and should be most everywhere in KY. I do notice that a number of stores arent carrying the white label anymore and that gets me paranoid about the rumors of it being d/c'ed, but I always find it somewhere.

Last night cracked open my CEHT BP. It was pretty hot, so added a splash of water. I should have added another splash, but I had already sat down and was too lazy. It was good.

Why indeed?

What is funny is watching them try, and fail, to pick out their expensive bottle in a blind tasting.
