Hmm, I bought two bottles of the OFBB, and didn't notice any degradation myself.

That said I drank the first one fast and the second one has been open for awhile with intentions of drinking it someday with my son (who was born in 2013). Might have to track down another unopened bottle if this is the case.

Finished the last of an OFBB13 bottle that had only been opened for about 5 months though spent most of its life at least half empty. Unlike most bottles that improve with a little air, even over time (6-12mo), this bottle got worse the longer it sat. At the end, the sticky sweet caramel and vanilla bean aroma had been replaced with charred oak and the flavor was thin and astringent. When I open the next one, I will transfer it to a normal shaped bottle to see if that slows the degradation.

Mine has been open 6+ months and I have noticed any degradation yet and hopefully I won't because it's such a great pour.

I'm getting in a Four Roses state of mind with a 4RLE 120th.

Some 1792 8 year. Yeah, it's a bit funky, but it is full of flavor, and I like it at under $30.

Tonight I decided to try a mix of ECBP, and Noah's Mill, about 80/20. Damn good. The rich sweetness of both aligns pretty well, and the nuttiness of the Noah's adds a nice, subtle dimension.

Back to the SAOS 8yr Single Barrel #92. A few drops of water makes this thing light up like the 4th o' July!

Having a pour of ETL again tonight. ETL's all I have in my mind when I walk to cabinet for a pour.

Long day today...couple of pours of Booker's. I enjoy it...not something I want to have all the time, but very damn good.

MM46 tonight. smells like a maple-caramel-vanilla bomb, and tastes almost a match, pretty enjoyable. plus, its one of the classiest looking bottles on the shelf

Finishing the night with what's left in the ETL bottle. It's more like 2 pours but what the heck.

Now you are tempting me to open my bottle! Sounds delicious.

Tonight, I'm having some of the Colonel's Small Batch as I was in the mood for some BT Mash Bill #1 tonight.

RRSmBSB with a small piece of ice. This is a good bottle. I drink most things neat, but the high proof Turkeys really seem to benefit from a little water or ice

Made my first bourbon cocktails tonight. A tasty Manhattan but an overly sweet Old Fashioned. Needed to combat the sweetness so poured a bit of PHC POH neat for a change of pace. This is tasting very good right now.

Still have some work to do on the cocktails but will endure due to the necessary science of mixology.

Nice pour of Four Roses Platinum to start the weekend. This seems to be the inverse of the Small Batch...more wood, slightly more age and spice. Just as creamy, though. A good one.
