fishnbowljoe
I stopped at a little out of the way liquor store on the way home from my great niece's graduation party today. I passed on a couple of bottles of Old Fitz 1849. $49.99 seemed a bit pricy to me. Oh well.

flahute
of the few little stores I stopped into in MI today while out and about, I passed on what little they had. seems every store has EWB, JBW, JD, and Ezra Brooks 90. an occasional store will have a few more regulars, like BT or KC. I did stumble into one gas station yesterday that had the best selection Ive seen in this state so far, with everything from the 05 WTKS I cant get myself to buy, to OGD114, Ezra 101, Bookers, Basil, KCSB, and lots more. I was surprised to see the town gas station have that selection, when every liquor store so far has had barely anything. But, ive only been stopping in the state highway small stores.Just go buy that 05WTKS already!! With all the talk around here about how things were better as recently as 10 years ago it has to be good. if you don't like it, send it to me. BootsOnTheGround
There it is. Rebadged BMH at 2x the price. What it's come to. Amazing.
HighInTheMtns
There it is. Rebadged BMH at 2x the price. What it's come to. Amazing.1. There are many distilleries in Oregon. Do you have ANY reason AT ALL to believe this to be from the same one as the new BMH? Besides Bruce's joke, anyway? 2. I do not think that "2x" means what you think it means. HighInTheMtns
1. The BMH label specifically names that distillery, so there's some reason to believe that.2. I think he meant that the new BMH is relabeled Stein at 2x the price, not the other way around.

bananaslug
Looks like Ill be passing up ECBP for the month of August and September. Ive been monitoring the Total Wine site and its "Estimated In-Stock" date has been August for two months now and it just got bumped to October! I refuse to pay $99 at Mission Liquor :bs:
TunnelTiger
It's okay. I like the floral nose and the cinnamon taste at the end, but it's not going to be a staple in my cabinet. I'm a bigger fan of GDRye and RittBiB. I also like WTRye101 because it's aggressive as heck, but I haven't had the lower proof version of WTRye. Quintilian
Don't waste your money on the WTR80. Just not worth it IMO.Thanks for the tip.
BootsOnTheGround
1. There are many distilleries in Oregon. Do you have ANY reason AT ALL to believe this to be from the same one as the new BMH? Besides Bruce's joke, anyway? 2. I do not think that "2x" means what you think it means. It was a smartass remark basically and I should have said BMH is relabeled Stein, not the other way around. Can I PROVE this to be the case? No. The only other possibility is BMH is contract distilling out of Stein and their booze is similar but not exactly the same. At least the label on the Stein bottle is done right because the BMH ones (rye included) are a total joke. I'd be embarrassed to put my name on it, let alone the quality of the product inside. Ravensfire
Oh, and also passed up ETL regular for 115.99That's just obscene. I get the markup on the seriously limited release stuff. But regular ETL? The store probably would have called 911 after I colllapsed in shock.
KyleCBreese
A store I don't frequent too often had a 1975 Seagrams Bourbon (American Legion Commemorative Edition with the ceramic case). It was $175 I believe.
