What Bourbon did you purchase today? Fall 2014

Just picked up two bottles of ER 10, store barrel select. Not my favorite bourbon, but at $25/ea I figured, why not?

It wasn't long after buying the first bottle that I went back for more. This barrel was 10yrs 2mo. old, came in at 138 proof before being brought down to 120, and is spectacular, IMHO. If I hadn't poured it myself, never would've guessed it was KC

Picked up a store pick of HW Double Rye finished an additional 21 months in a bourbon cask. Really helps balance some the 2yo rye mintyness and gives it a bit more of a cross between rye and bourbon.

Oh, and a couple of lonely bottles that looked like they could use a good home!

none. but I did discover Sams club has a 'case limit' in a transaction today....

our Sams membership is about to expire, and all we use it for is liquor really, so I was gonna grab a ton of wine and a few KC/Booker's (id hoped) before it did expire. There were absolutely no bourbons that interested me (WR and WT101 were the only true bourbons there, and the WT was more expensive than the regular stores), so I went to the checkout with 4 cases of wine and was told there was a 3 case limit.....who knew?

next time, Ill have to see how it works with buying liquor at sams without a membership. I know they cant legally require a membership to sell you liquor, but Ive never tried it before. any of you guys bought liquor at a sams or costco without being members?

Adding a Coke in a bottle, the total at BevMo came to just over $100 before tax, allowing me to use my $10 off $100 coupon.

Good marketing by BevMo, since by offering me $10 off they motivated me to make a $100 purchase that I would not have otherwise made.

Not earthshattering, but found some VOB BiB 6 year old on the shelves at the ABC today and nabbed it along with a couple bottles of ETL (delivered today, so no idea if the ETL mania is in effect hereabouts), which I've actually never tried. I'll take a wild guess which I find to be the better bang for the buck, but I've no doubt the ETL will be drinkable.

Just got the Last of Weller 12 (10 Bottles) from my Brother In-Law in TX..Seems no one buys Weller...Store will not be getting more until 2-3 yrs.
