Managed to get my hands on a Stagg today.

I imagine you wrestled him down and then won the bottle, er, battle! Congratulations! I ended up purchasing an EWSB. I am happy but I imagine you are happier!

Thank you, I was fortunate. It was very cordial, but also every man for himself. Once commenced, it was all over and done in 5 minutes.

It was a nice day on the hunt. A GTS, ER17 and while it is a rye, Saz18 is a nice find as well.

I rescued a lonely bottle of Rock Hill Farms. Had been on the shelf since mid 2013 according to the shopkeeper who said that was the last time they got any in.

Just got back from an overnight business trip to Houston. Planned ahead and brought my biggest piece of luggage and filled it with towels, and boxes of Styrofoam chunks. Since Weller 12 is so hard to find in KY, and since I've heard that there is plenty in Texas, I headed to a liquor store and found 7 bottles on the shelf. I got 4 of them for less than $100 total. God bless Texas!

once or twice a year, my wifes company sends her to dallas for a few days for work. Maybe next time Ill ask her to do just what you did and bring a few bottles home. Ive only had W12 once, at a restaurant. Ive not seen it on a shelf since I first got into bourbon and knew nothing of it, a few years ago. The one time I had it was in a flight, and I think the others I was comparing it to were EC12 and RR 10/90. I remember liking both the EC and the W12, but not the RR. Last month, I retried the RR and though the same of it. Id love to get a W12, but just cant find any here.

I guess I know what to bring you on the next visit!

BTW, the Dickel was quite good that you gifted. Worthy of a bottle or two to stash away. Much different than the no. 12 that I'm used to.

Have to thank the BTAC gods again. Ran into another ER17 and GTS today. Now if I can just find the other pieces of the puzzle. The hunt shall continue I guess, but EXTREMELY happy to found what I have so far. Very lucky would be an understatement.

I'm glad you're happy with it, but still think I got the better end of the deal.....:toast:

I havent yet gotten into the VROHH8 yet. anyway, If i ever make it up to MN, Ill get a list from you on what to bring!

that said, if you plan on coming to KY anytime again, and see more VROHH8 on shelves, get them and Ill gladly take them off your hands in any way you like. I plan to get into one of the two you gave me and keep the other unopened. Ive yet to meet a HH product I dont like other than batch2 ECBP.

Took a few hundred mile trip down into SC today and got lucky on a few.

Picked up an ECBP and EC23 out of the office at one place

Got the BT and H McKenna at the same store

Picked up the EB12's and the EW at another store along the way.

Very productive day today

3 OWA 107 @ $29.99 a bottle.

Caskers.com has OWA for $54.99 online. Sheesh!

The one on Caskers is 1.75 liter.

Snagged one myself today at that price. Well done.

It was an impulse stop at a place that usually has a good selection, but prices are spotty (stagg jr in stock, but at $79.99), and I had to deal with bringing my toddler in with me. Turned out to be a very good decision.
