What bourbon are you enjoying (spring 2017)

I finished my bottle of Rebel Yell 10 Yr. it was nice enough but I don't love it like many other on the board do. I won't be buying another.

Having some ECBP A117. Its a good pour but its definitely not the flavor bomb that was/is batch 12. Weird to say a 127 proof barrel proof bourbon is "thin". I think we've been spoiled by previous batches.

I agree.  The proof is there and usually you get all these different flavors front to back and with this one it hits and stays the same.  It's not a bad pour but it just doesn't seem to have all those nuances of flavor that we expect.

I agree as well. I like 13 now that the bottle has opened up - actually like it a lot. But does have that huge flavor intensity I got from 12.

OC101 store pick. Big corn sweetness on the nose with a big hit of cherry cough syrup (in a good way) on the palate. Simple but delicious.

I have one last 375ml of the MMCS batch from 2014 that tastes way too grassy for me. This one is no different. I ran it through an extensive oxidation routine which has helped, but I'm still basically working through it to simply get rid of it.

Rewarding myself with some 4R 10yr OESV that my group picked. Sensational.

Its not bourbon, but I recently purchased a bottle of Auchentoshan American Oak scotch - not a great fan of scotch but the taste makes it very approachable to bourbon drinkers

I would say it's taste is not necessarily "approachable" to bourbon drinkers, but rather, it's "inoffensive" to bourbon drinkers (or anyone else for that matter) since it has little to no taste.  One of the most boring coma-inducing whiskies I've had in years.

Cracked open my 1.75L bottle of Willett, which my brother had recommended to me. This is my second bottle. It has to be the coolest looking bottle in whiskeydom. Might be the smoothest bourbon I ever had, zero bite.

Had a good pour of the latest ECBP while starting the new WWI documentary on pbs. Now open several weeks & 2/3 down, its great neat even if its not too complex. Followed it with CRNHR, which I know many poo-poo after Murray's opinions, but I do like it - $20 & I dig the Hubba Bubba notes.

I've been wanting to try the NHR but around here it's been arouns $30.  It may be starting to come down to around $25 but still would like to try it first.  I keep checking all the minis but I don't think they do the NHR in the mini.

I've got one of those I got as a Christmas present.  That thing is HUGE.  Doesn't fit in any cabinet. I agree its a cool looking bottle.  Many on here don't like but I think its not bad.  It is definitely on the "smooth" spectrum.  It gets marked up with stupid prices occasionally but at or near MSRP its decent bourbon.  It think the last 750 I saw was $35-$40 and the 1.75 was around $60 to $65.

Ive seen the price as high as $40. Typical seems to be $30. I got mine a couple months ago on sale for $20, & keep forgeting I have it. I definitely get more sweet than spice with it.
