I have been letting a few wax top RC and NM sit for quite a while, one of these days i'm going to take them home.

Finally got to try the Barrell Bourbon Batch #9 I got for my dad a while back. It has an interesting profile that’s both earthy and full of overripe dark fruit. Good stuff.

Had a FR SmB LE 2017. MUCH better than my 2014, actually resembles the Elliot a lot.

Also paid $9 for a 2oz pour! I am pretty sure they didn't know the difference between this and the regular SmB. When asked for 2017 LE they said they had several...

They’re about breaking even at that price. Nice find. Something similar happened to me a few years ago with the 2013 FR SmBLE and I couldn’t resist getting a 2nd pour.

Anyways, I’m finishing up my night with an old sample of Willett 11yo PS for P+M Spirits that an SBer sent me. This is barrel #297, 116.4 proof. Tastes like a really excellent barrel of HMcK BIB to me, but turned up a notch.

KCSB (no barrel information) from a grocery store.  This single barrel is right in the middle of having all the typical KC flavors.  One pour goes a long way.  It's nice to have around for Thanksgiving.

Thanks to all the great people associated with this site.  :)

Really, i find the 2014 pretty solid in my book (but it's just my personal opinion), i've tasted the Elliot's Select through a sample, also very good. I've heard mix reviews about the 2017, had the chance to score one at very good price, i'm sure i'll not regret buying it, i've never had a bad Four roses LE.

9 bucks for 2oz pour is more than fair, i would have at least two at that price ;-))

Will.

ER10 as I get ready to make the pies for tomorrow.

Going with pumpkin (of course)

& rhubarb for the other one.

This isn't really doing it for me tonight, so I'll probably switch to a different distillery in a bit. :)

That's a nice one.

You might be a redneck if your sipping bourbon while cooking a turkey in a trash can.

I'm actually really impressed by this! haha

I've seen and done a lot of things having grown up in the backwoods of Pennsylvania, but this is not one I've ever even heard of!

Good morning fellow SBers and Happy Thanksgiving to all. It's going to be 95 degrees in Palm Springs today. Please help. Anyway, entertaining myself with different illusions this morning.

Slainte!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I feel your pain - it's pushing 90 here today, and I would love anything even remotely resembling fall or winter weather. I would say a pour would help, but it will just warm you up

Thanks sir. Your setup looks really nice and welcoming. Really curious to hear how the turkey turns out!

At the moment, I'm enjoying some Medley Bros, a bourbon I find I like almost ridiculously. It has a spicy bite that belies its rather tame 10% rye content...

I tried a pour of Jefferson's Presidential 16 Year. Very smooth for a 16 year.
