What Bourbon Are You Enjoying (Spring 2018)

This makes up for all of the dull 50mL WR bottles I've consumed on Delta flights during my life. Really rich color on this one as well.
 
 

 
 

Picked up one of these today and had a small pour...this is pricey, but I’m already thinking about getting another. It’s the best thing from Woodford that I’ve ever tried.

I remember the last I saw them were several years ago at Mink’s.  Interestingly, they were in red cloth bags with “Liquor Barn” embroidered on them...

The wife and I are having a great evening.  We finished off a John J. Bowman Single Barrel before dinner.  And, now with the bone-in ribeyes on the grill, we've decanted a 1985 Diamond Creek Gravelly Meadow Napa Cabernet that we've had in our wine refrigerator for 30+ years (since our last visit to the California wine country).  The wine is in perfect shape, and the meal is darn-near perfect, too.  I'm going to give the remote control a workout later between the hockey and basketball playoff games.  Life is good!

Enjoying a little Blanton's from a plastic cocktail shaker while dog sitting for my son who is on vacation.  His dog is on house arrest so I had to come stay with him instead of taking him to the ranch.

 

I find the larger the glass, the more you want to drink with each sip.

This is my 2nd bottle of this particular KC120 store pick. Not much left in this one. I really like it but it's very un-kc like.

Just curious,  did you get this at a liquor store or the distillery?  If you don't mind saying, what was the price?  I have a good friend who would absolutely love having a bottle of BP WE. I would love to get him a bottle.

This was at a liquor store. These are priced at around $150 in my area, but Woodford, HH, 4R and some other Limited Edition bottlings tend to be priced higher here than some states and even middle TN due to distributor premium pricing.

A 5:00am double of Baker's at the Sky club-- on my way to Bentonville.  

 

 

Been there, done that. Fortunately there were DFW-XNA AA flights every hour so by Thursday if I didnt feel like staying the whole day I could hop on whenever I felt.  

The bonefish grill in Rogers took care of me. Would let me order all my drinks for the night when I walked in on the happy hour prices even when I stayed and had fresh pours after happy hour.

 

I'm sure the tech center isn't any more insufferable than when I was consulting in 2014 but the five and dime was cool.

Back on topic.... I'm having a healthy pour of my ET BIB/Bib & Tucker blend. FWIW, it's the last pours from these two bottles. 

 

Also and FWIW, it was "dry" hump day at work today.  I'll probably be having at least another pour or two later on.

Kicked off the evening with a nice pour of ETL. Unfortunately, it and my taste buds were not in the dancing mood tonight. Not sure what it was, but it had a weird veggie type taste to it tonight which was very odd. I will give it a few day and revisit. Bottle is half empty and did not get this on my previous pour.

 

After that it was time for some HHBIB6yr and all is right with the bourbon universe!

Barrel proof Woodford is really good. Not surprised that this one is great.
