Double C's
I stopped at one of the local grocery stores over the weekend to grab a gift card and had to check the bourbon section as well, and to my surprise they had MM cask strength for just under $37. I couldn't resist and had to grab one at that price.
Mattk
Ok so it's that kind of hot. I have noticed quite a few posts about this. Figure I'll give it a try. Whiskey is a vegetable right?

Unless you’re referring to the brussel sprouts. I wouldn’t recommend that cocktail.
fishnbowljoe
I succumbed to temptation once again. Big surprise huh? I couldn’t help but stop and buy a third ps Old Forester Single Barrel. I finished one, but still had one in the bunker. As I stated before, this is a really good one. I just wanna make sure I have a back up as long as possible. I bought a ps BT handle from this store a couple of years ago, and it was great too. The problem was, I had a BT open, and it was a while before I finally opened it and found out just how good it was. When I went back to buy another, they were sold out. Lesson learned. Biba! Joe That's always a problem with single barrels and private selections, especially if you are like me and like to thin the herd. I try to keep only a handful of bottles open at a time. However, I did open two single barrels of the same brand and will probably open the third to see which to buy backups of.
JakeySnakes
Finally had a chance to get out to my local LS for a freezer bottle, and was greeted by an empty spot on the shelf where 4RYL should be. My guy there said they've been out a few weeks, maybe some would come in Friday, but the distributor wasn't sure. Settled for a "2012" bottle of EWSiB. markandrex
Raining this morning so, no project work (everything was outside). Decided to run around and check a few stores. Not really looking for anything, just haven’t been buying much in the past month or so. As you can see, it was a good day and the bourbon gods smiled on me.

parksmart
Finally got around today to picking up a number of purchases made during this pandemic/shelter in place. Will post as I pop open and pour them. None of the VOB offerings are readily available here in the SF Bay Area. Was able to snag a few of the 90 proof at a fair price. Enjoying a couple snorts worth right now. Decent nose, nice on the palate, but pretty short finish. For a few bucks less than $20 OTD per bottle, it’s a fine QPR pour! For those who have done so, how would this be as a freezer bottle? TIA...... Edited July 23, 2020 by parksmart Typo
