Mrs. Clueby had a rough day and said she wanted something really good and "smooth" tonight.

Great day on my last “real” day at work.  Many well wishers congratulating me on my  retirement tomorrow. A couple of long time coworkers even gave me a card and a present! 😊 I got home from work and my wonderful wife had a pour of BT all ready for me on the back patio. 🥰  It was good, but…. I decided to start celebrating a little early, and opened my 1980 Old Fitz BIB. Wow! Even better than I remember. Thick, viscous and “chewy” with that old time caramel/ butterscotch flavor that glut era bourbons are known for. The finish is “mahhhhvelous”. Absolutely wonderful pour(s). To (mis)quote a line from Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, “I chose wisely.” 😎

I  just really like how you seem to maximize the enjoyment of these last few days!  Congratulations Joe and I hope to experience the same.

Work is done! 🤗🥳🤪😎 I went through the motions for a few hours, then there was a short all shift celebration for my retirement. I finished cleaning out my locker and got to leave early. On the back patio now with a nice pour from a newly opened 2020 WLW. 😋 Ahhhh.

On vacation this week.  Had an old fashioned w/ Pikesville with dinner.  Now I'm in the hotel's whiskey lounge having some pours.

They have their own 14 yr 10 month Knob Creek PS barrel so that was an easy choice to open with.  As expected, it's great.  Although this hotel's whiskey bar has a huge selection of whiskies to choose from, I'm sure I'll be having more of this KC before the week is over.

Back for more this evening!

Congratulations Joe.

I can highly recommend retirement.

For the others,  I recommend early retirement.  More free time to enjoy life.....

Sipping a little Pikesville Rye 110 proof.  Still pepper-y....

That Pikesville is on sale - $10 off this month here in PA. Seeing as you’re around the corner, and if ya dig Pikesville like I do, be sure to grab an extra or two for the bunker.

I’m a few days late, but congratulations. That’s an awesome thing to retire, and have plenty of good whiskey in the bunker.
KEEP ENJOYING LIFE.
