markandrex
I had some of this at a friend’s house over the weekend. A very good $30ish bottle. When I went by the liquor store to grab some the rep was there so my case ended up with a +1. Great nose with cinnamon and spices. Taste is some dried fruit (apple), cinnamon and vanilla. The finish is medium but this drinks well above the 90 proof. The market is limited right now but will be online soon and expanding the distribution range. The rep stated that they will be expanding the line with possible BP and/or BiB. It is a 5 yr+. None of artificial aging that the distillery had toyed with in the past. A nice stop in Owensboro if nearby.

Clueby
Was back in my hometown today for a funeral and stopped in a place that used to be my "honey hole" but hadn't had much luck there in a long time. Talked to the owner for a bit. Just missed Stagg Jr. yesterday. She did say she would call and hold one for me next time she gets some. Actually she told Mrs. Clueby that. We shall see. I grabbed a few things while there. She was really pushing the B&B so took a $20 chance for relationship sake. Aged 22 months. Distilled in KY. Tastes kinda like Beam. . Pretty funky. A couple ice cubes helped even though it started at only 80 proof.

These are two of my top 5 pours. Thankful the wife was driving by and stopped to get the OWA. The last EHT BP I overpaid for but it always feels like I’ll never see another one. Shocked to find this sucker today.
Rhettro
I don’t know if this is a permanent product or on the shelf due to the current glass shortage, but I grabbed a plastic 750ml of 101 today at the same price I’d have grabbed a glass bottle. But those weren’t in stock. Figure I’ll just pour this into the empty glass I just knocked off.

Sad to see that these supply chain issues that effect seemingly every part of our lives, even make it to simple WT 101. Let’s move on. This will pass. More importantly, I did similar to you, as I picked up a family size WT101 today to begin the refilling of my nearly empty 750. Glad to say both are glass, but slightly itchy that I did this same buy not too long ago….

This is a common everyday shelf product here in Texas, sits right next to the glass 750 at the same price IIRC. It makes a great vacation bottle, i.e., pack it in the suitcase and don't worry about breakage.

Bob_Loblaw
Picked up a bottle of Stagg Jr. Batch 17 yesterday. Its my first bottle in probably 2-3 years as prior batches were just not really in my wheelhouse. But, I figured this is the last batch of Jr. so likely to become quite valuable and I will be able to put at least one (hopefully both) of my kids through college with the funds after it becomes "discontinued" . . . Actual plan is to hold until last years barrel pick is finally released as I would like to be able to do a SBS between our SiB pick and the national batched release.

Sobering moments for us both…. picked up a Makers 46 and a Bowman Bros. Small Batch. The original 46 bottle design is way superior to the new one replaced ing it, and that’s a hill I’m prepared to die on.
fishnbowljoe
Okay, so here’s the deal. There was some recent banter in the “Happy BIB Day” thread. Some of it involved thoughts regarding the changes to OF BIB/Signature/100 over the last few years. I reckon maybe I should give OF 100 another chance. So, I decided to buy a bottle. There was also some discussion in the “What Bottle Did You Open Thread” about OF 86. I took note of what @smokinjoe, @Rhettro and @flahute had to say. So, I decided to buy a bottle. Anyway, we had to go to the store this evening. Of course when we got there, off to the liquor department I went. They had both OF 86 and OF 100 on sale for $22.99. I passed temporarily because I thought I remembered another store that had both at a better price. Turns out I was half right. We stopped at another store on the way home. At that store, the OF 86 was $21.99, and the OF 100 was $23.99. It would have been a wash if I hadn’t accidentally spotted a newly opened OF box near the checkout counter. It held plastic 375’s of OF 86, but there was no price. I asked the gal at the checkout counter to do a price check. She smiled and told me that she had just brought that box out from the back room. She had found it under some other items, and told me that it had been there for a while. It must have been there quite a while because when she checked the price, it came up as $7.99. I bought two. Even a net savings of $6.01 is cause to celebrate. Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Every once in a while. If I like the OF 86, I’ll probably go back and grab another one or six. Biba! Skinsfan1311
Finally found a 1792 Barrel Proof, reasonably priced. I've never had it but, at $46.99, it's worth a try. Been looking for this one for a while now. I found one at a different store, but that was a pass for $89.99. The Wilderness Trail is a pick that the LS calls "Big Char" I tried it first, and it's very good.

I'm looking forward to the 6 year. I just hope that they don't do anything stupid with the pricing.

Btw Skinsfan, where in Maryland are you located? I'm about 1.5 hours from Oakland and curious if you ever come up thru Pittsburgh again if you'd want to mule for each other? PM me if you're interested. Cheers!
