Besides, @GeeTen won like a million bourbon lotteries over the past few days. . . . . .  I can't help but think that he is drinking something higher on the bourbon ladder than WT101 right now.  😜

PVW15, Willett Family Estate L&K SiB Rye, and some BTACs at the "Group House" last night.  I feel better now.   🥰

"Go Bills!"  😋

Bootleg OF Statesman on the Albany tarmac after my ill-fated flight to NYC. Hopefully this will serve as a proper segue to a double Woodford Reserve if we ever get airborne again.

Forgot about the EC25 at Pappy's Place last night.  Not over-oaked but not real "bourbon-y" either.  Still, enjoyable.  🤩

Penelope Barrel Strength, finished in a #1 char lightly toasted barrel picked by Wegman's.   Delicious.

Most of the town shutdown today on the threat of ice and sleet; didn't happen, sooo...

I went to work just the same. After a 4-hr stint, back at home with a SS 1792 BiB; lovely!!!

A new family size WT pick up today, to begin anew the refill process of my empty poult bottle. 😁

A huge orange marmalade bouquet exploded from the glass after first pour.  So much so, Mrssmokinjoe commented on it before I noticed.  This really is great whiskey.  Yeah, no shit Sherlock… 🤪

Started with a mighty tumbler of Four Roses Single Barrel and followed that with a healthy pour of Willett. I found the difference jarring. I am a fan of both but this segue did not work out, perhaps reversing the order might work out better next time.

Dickel 15 year.  getting good caramel but not enjoying it as much as in past.  as a recent certifiable dick head this should hit better than it is tonight.  On to something else next glass

4RSB

I'm not feeling it.

Definitely need to switch up.

I'll make the Mrs an Old-fashioned with it, and pour something else.

This is a big improvement over the 4RSB which, for whatever reason, isn't working tonight.

Cheers!

I first was going to reach for the RRSiB shelf version but then the bottle of Chattanooga BP store pick barrel sitting next to it on my cabinet shelf caught my eye.  It was just calling me and turns out it was the right choice.  Man this is really singing tonight, it has a unique caramel note that is delicious, if a bit on the youngish side, ... but not in a bad way at all.

Thinking alike like brothers - I also just came home with a family size WT and just finished filling the empty.

started off the evening with a pour of Redbreast 12yr to change things up, then moved onto a pour of BM cask strength reserve that seems to get better the longer I keep this bottle around. Now having a night cap of EW BiB.

I'm having VOB 100.  I worry, one day BT or the taters will get wise to this.

This is proprietary knowledge, for SB members only.
