About $45 for each.

I’d gamble for that much. 6yr wheated bourbon sounds good to me and they finally dropped their prices down to a more reasonable level.

Rye's not out yet, not even at the distillery.

actually it is, just not under their own label.

This single barrel is pretty darn good IMO.

Old Pepper sources from BBC?  I thought they used their own distillate.

PS:  I was referring to BBC.

Very nice. High Rye makes it very smooth and light.

But the Rye mashbill used could be different from what BBC is using itself.  I recall being told they had distilled over 50 different mashbills for various contract customers.

True.   I think it's interesting that BBC has chosen to use for its own-lable BIB the same high-rye (36%) mashbill that MGP has made so famous (see,e.g., Old Scout and Smoke Wagon).   It's hands down my favorite mashbill these days,  and reflects an ideal balance between sweet and spice.   I look forward to trying BBC's take.

Good Point.

a buddy checked with a mole at bbc and supposedly this one is 95/5.

I like it quite a bit.

If their other rye products are similar, Im looking forward to them.

I wonder when we will see the Pepper distilled whiskey filling bottles?

Perhaps those will be distillery only bottlings?

I got this today for a bet last weekend.  I took the Jaguars over the Titans, a well timed fumble and TD saved me!

The wife’s look is self-explanatory.

Hahaha...

Getting the best of the Missus and her not being able to turn it around on you is what we live for! Especially paid in bourbon. 👍

Managed to get a couple of bottles this week. A fellow SBer helped me acquire two 2022 FRSmbLE because he is an extremely generous individual! Then added a bottle of Makers 101 and Starlight Double Oaked SB. Now just waiting for the ECBP A123 to arrive and I will be all set for the foreseeable future.

375 Friday...

The OF pack hit me for $60. That's pretty much buy 2 bottles - get the 3rd free, over here.

The JD SiB cost me $25 which is pretty cool since I've been wanting to try it but never put out the 65 duckies for a 750 bottle.

Boo-hoo, boo-hoo, contemplate jumping off of bridge, maybe beat the dog, or kick the wife's ass & run; naaaaa, too radical. How about sigh in extreme jealousy & pour a BBC Discovery & toast the lucky Boubonite King... 🏆

Hmmm, BBC Discovery sounds wonderful right now.  At least I wouldn't feel guilty about opening it (SWMBO only drinks scotch). Isn't one of the first signs of becoming an alcoholic is drinking ALONE?  🤣

I've never had their rye, only their BiB bourbon and I quite like it..  But you picked up a bottle. So how is it?  Let us know your thoughts.

This week's pickups. I guess this should have gone in the rye thread but 2 of them have bourbon in them. The McK10 was thanks to another sb'r.

Finally got back to the store that has these on sale for $30. Found 1 bottle in the back of the row from the same barrel as the previous bottle I had that was very good. I was getting the side eye from an employee as I was checking the different bottles for barrels numbers.

I'll probably stop by again soon and pickup another from a different barrel and see how they compare.

Smooth and tasty. High Rye has a light taste. Not weak though.  Will stay in the rotation. And I am a wheater!!!
