mbroo5880i
I bought another ECBP C922. Local grocery store. The department manager told me it was his last bottle. I am not sure if he meant it was his last bottle or his last bottle for me. I have had many bottles of ECBPs over the years. This is one of my favorites. I will continue to scout around for more but I guess I need to broaden my horizons to other stores. I was gifted a WR Wheat Whiskey. I admit I have always been curious about this one and, while I have considered buying one, I doubt I would have ever actually pulled the trigger. Full disclosure when the gift giver came into my office, they handed me this bottle first. They gave me the choice between this and standard WR. They said a few of the bottles were special bottles. Seeing it was something different than standard WR, I told them I will just keep this one. I will post my thoughts in the Other American Whiskey forum.

I bought a Woodford Wheat earlier this year and thought it was pretty enjoyable.

I saw them a few weeks ago at a local grocery store, then last weekend at TW. Makes a 1.75 liter cost about $36 at their current price. I think I might head back and get one and a 101 Rye to boot (or maybe just to drink).
PaulO
I forgot to mention, I also picked up an OF 100 with the rest. A day after the sale, I was at a different location and noticed they had the new JBSB 108 proof. I had really wanted to find that during the sale. Some people on the site here have compared it to Distiller's Cut - yes, will buy soon.

I will continue to scout around for more but I guess I need to broaden my horizons to other stores. They are very good. I am glad I picked up more than one. They are getting harder to find. Liquor Lineup in Vegas ran out of them. KL Wine still has them at $70, limit one per customer last I looked. I have a friend in CA who sits on them for me until I have a reason to be out that way. Not sure if that's too much hassle for your liking. The ECBP and Bookers have me hooked. If Larceny repeats what it did with its C922 version (or even comes close), that'll be another regular. Given where prices are at, $70/bottle for the HH stuff is a good deal. Even Cheap Bastard Approved on the ECBP, or at least this version of it! Given where bourbon was in terms of quality and price, I get that this brave, new world is galling for many of you. For those of us who never knew The Good Old Days....we view the new normal as normal. So I still will pay $100 for a Bookers. Not sure where the cutoff point is there, probably not too far off.

Did it honestly as my main store received 6 this time because we had done a store pick single barrel ( I was 1 of 4 in the selection process). The C922 came in last month and I have weekly or so been picking away, but always allowing time to lapse between for others searching. Feels good to do that especially at the Holidays. No other stores in my AO get any.
Cibsie
Found these today all at MSRP. Sadly these are all really rare finds in MN. Haven't found an ER in over 5 years here. Actually giving that to a friend since I already have one I bought on secondary at a dumb price.
jvd99
Got the call that 2022 FR Small Batch Limited Edition was waiting for me. Zipped over before the snowstorm and also grabbed a bottle of FR small batch select.

Kudos for willingly giving to a friend. Maybe you can share a pour or two together!

Nice! Been missing your posts this fall! You always seem to get the Family Rye. Wonder why the allocations are late to your area? Any ideas?
