I mean, if you want people to return to the office make certain to employ fun people.  I’m not above partying w a lamp shade on my head but I would never button the second button.

Awesome balanced IPA even if it’s called a West Coast IPA.

Damn, what a long day.  Yuengling Oktoberfest to begin the chill out.  Good, but not exceptional Oktoberfest. Doesn’t have the depth that many of the others I’ve tried this Season.  A tad pedestrian as far as this style goes.

Which is rather curious since you are drinking it out of a Four Roses glass. It should be outstanding!

Right?!?!  I know!  Like Blue Bonnet!  Everything’s better with Blue Bonnet on it! Everything’s better when anything Four Roses is involved.  😂

As we start to close out the warm weather days I've been finishing off my summer supply of Asahi Dry, Rainier, and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Samuel Adams and Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest are in the Total Wine shopping cart to be picked up this weekend.

Brooklyn Brewery Oktoberfest while prepping dinner and flipping between Braves and Falcons.  I know the Lion helmet logo has been changed, but it’s close enough to the prior that I grew up with, that it is still one of my favorites in the NFL.

Along with my rediscovery of Asahi Dry a while back I've also really been enjoying another old standby - Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. It's a perfect transition beer as summer gives way to fall.

Sam Adams Octoberfest, my annual stock up at COSTCO of one of my all time favorites if not my de-facto all time favorite. With the demise of BASS ale, Fat Tire and the tinkering of SA Boston Lager, Anchor Steam going belly up, its a bit scary out there in Beerbonia.  It is my sincere hope that they do not F**K this one up, might warrant a plane ride to Jamaica Plain for a sit down with Mr. Koch but from what I've read his beer palate and mine are similarly aligned, those bean counters though....

I'm not up on beer news at all anymore.  Bass is gone now?  That used to be my choice to put in a Black & Tan, but it's been a long time since I had one.

And I had no idea Fat Tire and Sam Adams changed their recipes.  I heard about Anchor Steam however.

I'm having an Asahi Dry right now while playing with the dogs in the back yard.  Still in the 90s here, so I'm sticking with my summer beers for now, especially when I'm outside.  You guys enjoy your Oktoberfest biers!

Had to do some googling on this but it looks like Bass no longer brews in the UK and what we get here is now brewed by Anheuser-Busch. If you type in bass.com it takes you to the AB website but I wasn't able to find any Bass info.

Bass is now Inbev-AB?  Well shoot.  I'm gonna give a thumbs down on them now. 👎

I was in fishnbowl Joe's old neighborhood (Beech Grove) last night for the Holy Name Oktoberfest.  I had Rhinegiest "Franz" Oktoberfest beer from Cincy, OH.  It's such a good Oktoberfest beer, one of the best I've tried.

Just switched from the Shiner seasonal ( peach and Strawberry) to Sam Adam’s Octoberfest. Time for my beer to get darker.

A glorious day here, Down South.  Sitting out front with my first Bell’s Oktoberfest.  Bell’s Oktoberfest always ranks high with me every year, and this one is keeping that streak alive.

First day of October.  Getting ready to listen to the last Braves regular season game on the radio with my first Red Hare’s Hasenpfeffer Oktoberfest of the Season.

AB inbev owns the brand but my understanding is that it has been mothballed. Too bad as British brewed BASS on tap was an EXCELLENT pour and existed for a over 200 yrs till AB inbev ran it into the ground, shameful. I hope they sell it off and true enthusiast brewers resurrect it and restore it to its rightful place and quality, I miss it.

Ah that explains why it's not on the website.

Watching the O's on the back porch and cracked this one from my favorite local brewery.

I've been aging a 4-pack since 2020.

It's aged in bourbon barrels, then finished in rye barrels.

Let's go O's!!!

Yesterday it was hot enough here (rare for Seattle in October) to need the AC which coincided perfectly with my last Asahi Dry in the fridge. Today I busted out the Samuel Adams and Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest beers. Was a bit warm still but I couldn't wait any longer.
