Kepler
I dunno ... the way Suntory loves to manufacture endless brand extensions, Joe may be onto something. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Maker's Rye any day now.
Kepler
My fRyeday pour is Redemption 10yr BP Rye. I have to say, after several enjoyable pours of Baker's 7 SiB bourbon tonight, the switch to MGP 95% rye is a bit jarring. Can anybody say dill pickle? Lol Happy fRYEday!

Dill pickle is up there with banana for me. Can’t pick either one up. Maybe one day?…… Cheers
Wedelstaedt
Me and Ms Wedel are playing catch up on F1 races tonight. Currently watching Mexico GP. So far the leaders have been dicing it up. Pretty entertaining. In my glass tonight, M10R. Very snazzy. I do like this bottle. Happy FRyeDay, fellow SBr’s

Skinsfan1311
Picked this one up at one of my favorite "try before you buy" LS this morning. I think that Sagamore picks are probably easy to make, because the whiskey is so good. It didn't hurt this cheap bastards feelings that it was on sale for $54.99

mbroo5880i
Noticed a bottle of WTR101 was getting low last night so I thought I would put it out of its misery tonight. Maybe a little more in the bottle than I thought. Not the first time that has happened. Fortunately, it only took one really big shot.

Ahh, the ole whiskey equivalent of going to the grocery store hungry. We've all been there, my friend. Edited November 3 by Kepler

Skinsfan1311
MNF An excuse to drink on a weeknight. I'm not a fan of either team but, as a Skins fan, I guess that I'll root for the Bucs to lose... WT101 Rye in @mbroo5880i's glass....
kcgumbohead
Middle west ported pumpernickel rye, say that 5x fast!! Been hearing a lot about MW while digging into some VERY interesting research being done on the history of American distillation and in particular the pure rye style that was our predominant whiskey style pre-pro. I LOVE high rye bourbons and ryes so it’s quite fascinating to read about rye history and all that is being rediscovered. There should be some delicious drinking in the coming years. for now I seek out different yet delicious pours and this one grabbed my attention. I have always loved pumpernickel bread and curious to taste how that might present in a whisky was a no brainer. 6 yrs and what a flavor rollercoaster. Figs, butter, that pumpernickel rye bread flavor actually comes through in the rye!! This is a unique and different bottle and a very worthwhile addition to my ever expanding rye collection. Delicious and it certainly occupies its own space which is exactly what I was looking for.

And, this pumpernickel rye in particular; what are it's specifics? What did it set ya' back? It sounds very interesting.

This particular one is a 4 grain, yellow corn, 2 row barley and Ohio soft red winter wheat along with the Pumpernickel rye. That’s a standard release of theirs then they do a double cask limited series which is what I got. It’s finished in tawny port casks. It’s 99.5p and I paid around 90 bux, not cheap but I don’t buy often and when I do I’m looking for unique things that don’t repeat what I already have. I try to research a lot because these low volume type releases can be a crapshoot but I like this one. I’ll bring it to the GN as I think it will be a good fit. Another under the radar left field whisky from me this coming year.
