Living dangerously, my friend.  Living dangerous!  Big game tomorrow.  The NYG are struggling but on any given Sunday.  I really like Jayden Daniels and McLaurin is an Indy guy.  Things are looking up for your team.  Good Luck and go Commanderskins

Colts?  Don't wanna talk about it. No no no....

Moved from a nice pour of WTR101 as a bottle kill to WT101.  Started out watching Uncle Buck but once my wife was done getting ready for bed, she promptly walked in and turned it to a Hallmark Christmas movie.  I guess I will be streaming CFB and surfing the internet.  Probably better than the 100th time I have watched Uncle Buck anyway.  😉😀

I almost went with Calumet 14 tonight myself.  Grabbed the 1792 12 Year instead.  Similar profile.  It tastes good tonight.

Interesting.

I passed on a 1792 12 year today.

I don't remember the exact price, but  it was a little more than I was willing to pay because 1792 drinks hot to me.

The Calumet is working very nice tonight.

Case in point?

The Browns beat Baltimore last week...

Rumor is that Calumet 14/15/16 is Barton juice, same as 1792.   They do taste similar.

Besides the 12 year, all the other 1792 products are much younger so they taste hot compared to this 12 yr.

Good to know.

Maybe I'll snag one to compare...

For the record, I only find the following 1792 expressions to be overly "hot":  Full Proof, BiB, and Small Batch.

I find these to be "not hot":  Sweet Wheat, 12 Year, High Rye

The "Single Barrel" expression with the beige colored neck band can go either way depending on the barrel.  YMMV

Thanks for sharing.

I'm not a big fan...but I've only had the standard and Full Proof and I like VOB 100 and 90 better than both of those, especially for the price.

Yep I don't disagree.  Here in Texas, I can get a 1.75 L size Tom Moore Bonded (Barton juice) for $22 ... it's an even better bargain than VOB 100.  If fact, it's probably the best value anywhere for BiB bourbon, bar none, now that Kentucky-only HH6BiB for $12 is long gone.

I like the way you carefully staged this photo to hide the accidental misprint on your Redskins merchandise.

After a couple pours of 1792 12 Year, the cherry note prevalent in well-aged Barton bourbon was suiting me fine and dandy.  So I decided to step it up a notch with the Calumet 14.  The cherry note is even stronger, along with more oak.  Yes I prefer the C14 over the 1792 12 year.  But it's also more expensive, so it makes sense.

And now for the grande finale. I had the last pour from my bottle of 2007 WLW.  Dark, rich, thick, chewy, yummy and more. This bottle will be so missed. 🥹

That defines Grand Finale.  My hat is off to you Joe. I am quite certain, I would not have the fortitude to finish such huge bottle.  I’m sure you relished every sip you had,

from opening to closing it out. 🫡

Cheers

If I see that Tom Moore Bonded while I'm traveling - I'll definitely buy some.

I finished off that 1792 High Rye a few days ago, and after my lawn work today I'm gonna pour some Old Grand Dad BiB (orange screw top!😜) that I put in the freezer last night for this purpose.    I never really did much of this, though many make it a common practice... we rarely have that much extra space in the freezer.        Well, we have been 'emptying' it out somewhat to make room for Thanksgiving Turkey(s) and Christmas Ham(s)... so, temporarily, lotsa room now!

Old Fo in Delta Sky Club.  Since it’s “free”, they can serve it before Sunday 12:30 PM alcohol start time.  Went to order 4RSB but only 12:27… 😂. Nice bartender helped me out.  BTW, I fly enough to know how to not be a problem.  But, it’s been nearly 2 years since last flight, and I unfortunately committed some buffoonery earlier in the airport!  DUMBASS!!  🤣🤣🤣

Yessir you should.  Just look for the bottom shelf because that's always where they are hiding out.    Only available in the 1.75 plastic jug size too!  😁 (of course, you want to skip the 80 proof version, and look for the BiB only).  👍

I have never seen the Tom Moore BIB. I have seen some Tom Moore finished bourbon in fancy bottles. They were a little pricey but a nonstarter since I rarely like finished whiskey. The BIB sounds interesting.

Yesterday it was NFL on tv with GD Signature Recipe, then JD Bonded.

DAL @ ATL and DET @ GB were great games.

Watched the first half of Colts then turned in.  That was a wise move.

RR15 with a slab of Dry-aged Prime NY sirloin strip seared "Pittsburgh Rare" on the Napoleon Infrared Sizzle Zone burner - 1.5 minutes on each side - and simple Caesar Salad (no Anchovies - gotta' watch my salt) with Skinny Caesar salad dressing (gotta' watch my glucose).  Yummo!  😘

A man's gotta' eat and drink well, no?  😇
