Harry in WashDC
4R PS OBSK - one ounce plus 1/4 ounce of room temp water. Tasted like dulce de leche ice cream with a dollop of Mexican chocolate. Rich, creamy caramel with just a hint of spice.

You might want to try a pair of vice-grip pliers for that. Once you get the adjustment dialed in, it's easier to go back for the next pour. Saved corks can be a big help too - been there.

Looking forward to trying the LB Infinite, the Bookers Reserve and the OGD16. Reserve is also really great. The consensus on our group was that OGD16 was the best of the group.

Anwalt
I keep coming back to LB7. Not a simple one. Unique. Very good. I think the Breaking Bourbon people nailed this one - what a blend, so much to pick out. This time around the single malt makes a strong appearance for me. Not normally something I'd celebrate. Yet it works, and well. Edited October 9 by Anwalt

fishnbowljoe
It’s been a long week. Oh crap, it’s only Wednesday. Weller ladder tonight. Weller SR, Weller 12, Joe’s 2023 Weller Blend, and to cap off the night, 2007 WLR. It’s really only Wednesday? 🫨

Just enjoyed the last couple of pours from a Jim Beam Distiller's Cut (SCREW CAP - WOO HOO!) Although sad as I just realized that was the last one Back at the end of 2017 I discovered this - and was blown away. Stocked up to maybe 5 or 6 bottles at one point (for those now familiar, this is 5-6 year Beam, 100 proof non-chill filtered, and was retailing for $23 in Georgia). Tasted closer to Knob Creek than Jim Beam - just delicious. And sadly . . . as I share this post I realize that was the last bottle I had. "Know you were thoroughly enjoyed, down to the last drop Jim Beam Distiller's Cut".
mbroo5880i
Enjoying a few pours of WT101 while watching the 49ers-Seahawks game and preparing for the weekend. I got a lot accomplished at work this week. I better slow down so expectations don't get too high. I will go in tomorrow for my obligatory Friday donut and jack with my co-workers all day. Actually, Friday is normally one of my busiest days. Crap. Well, one more day until the weekend.
markandrex
GaryT’s post reminded me that it has been awhile, so a glass of JBDC it is. Cheers!

To me, that was the tastiest Beam product ever, viscous and rich, drank well below its' proof. I was on a mission to find more when that remained a reasonable possibility - nada. I had hoped there would be follow up releases - nope.

Is why I bought an expensive port decanting funnel with screen AND keep many corks and a few screw caps in an old Crown Royal bag or two. An extra-long handled screw driver is handy for breaking up the cork after decanting so you can put the strained stuff back in the bottle. Careful not to hit he screw driver too hard on those last bits. Done that once.
