ILLfarmboy
Welcome, Picker 22A fellow Jack drinker I see. We're in the minority around here.Right now though I'm drinking a little Redbreast 12. I might put the last of it in a cup of hot tea, it's damn cold where I'm at. CrispyCritter
Navigating through some BTAC? ...Nice.Indeed... Set #1 is slowly but surely being drawn down. Tonight, however, I began with Wiser's 10yo Canadian, and then switched to my second-to-last pour of Old Potrero 90 proof. I'm currently working on a pour of single-barrel Buffalo Trace. I'm not sure yet if I'll have another pour, or what I'll have if I do - Weller Antique 107 or Rittenhouse BIB are candidates.
Jazzhead
I've had a couple of pours already as I've perused the political and auto sites - an Old Forester BIB followed by a Dant BIB. The Dant's a dusty, distilled at DSP-2, which I believe is the Louisville Old Charter distillery. These bourbons are both very plummy/raisin-y, and go very well together. The Forrester is smoother than the Dant, but the Dant finishes longer.
fogfrog
I am in Knoxville TN as I am moving here. At the liquor store next door they had one regular size bottle of 10YO Old Charter which I bought for fourteen bucks. It is pretty good stuff. They also had Old Barton but I wanted to try something new. I am glad I didn't get any scotch. This 10YO OLD Charter is pretty good stuff. I wonder what the eight is like. it is not that much cheaper I don't think. It is snowing out today.
fitzharry
I've been drinking Wild Turkey Rare Breed today (108.2 proof), and matched it with a Sancho Panza cigar. It tasted terrific, and the cool sunny weather outside was a perfect setting.
full_proof
W.L. Weller Special Reserve. Followed it with a Sierra Nevada Wheat Beer. I feel the need for something heavier and more intense :hot: .
TBoner
So far, coffee. Doing some writing. I'll move on to Knob Creek a little later. Then, maybe some Booker's. After I finish writing, of course.

ILLfarmboy
First JD single brl. Now a healthy pour of Handy. I almost used the Handy to make a Manhattan but I thought better of it.
SBOmarc
GTS Fall '05. First one with one cube only, second one with a measured splash making it 108 proof. There may be a third, it is the weekend.
wskybnt
Tonight, 2 of my top's... I pitted Bakers vs pappy 15. I have to say that I am one of the biggest VW fans, but surprising to me the Bakers edged out the Pappy 15 on the first pour, but by the 2nd and 3rd side by side's the bite from the pappy became more appreciated ...... The winner... I thought would be Pappy, but I should probably get back to you later on it....
Grain Brain
Turkey Tribute, and it's terrific. I've actually had a bottle but had been holding off on opening it as it was the only one I'd seen, and wanted to save it for when Pops was around. But I found a few more bottles tonight (one is going to TBoner here) so I figured I'd try it. Rich pepper and faint honey are my immediate impressions on this one. Virus_Of_Life
Got some midlly depressing news today, so only the best will do; first Thomas Handy and the more I drink this the happier I am that I bought several bottles of it. Next was Weller Centennial (L'ville), I should be used to this kind of news so it is a good thing I got 10 or 15 or 100sumthin bottles of good bourbon to enjoy! Next..... Hmmm I am craving some Turkey, I love the feel of that heavy pewter top in my hand! Kentucky Spirit it will be... That 730am meeting is really going to be a struggle!:falling: :drinking: :falling: ..... I need to learn to make smaller pours!
fitzharry
Last night I had a couple of pours of Elijah Craig 12. At first, I was a little non-plussed by this bourbon, but after a couple of days of drinking it I am liking it more and more. There is a certain maltiness (or smokiness?) in the taste that I find interesting, much like the J.W. Dant BIB 100 bourbon. I will definitely keep a couple of bottles of this around on a permanent basis.
Ubertaster
I had a couple pours of OFBB bottled 2005 and enjoyed them very much. I have a 2006 coming and can't wait to try it. bj
