Today FedEX came. I love them.

Weller 12

Bernheim Wheat

Weller Antique 107

George Dickel Barrel Select

All bottles I haven't tried, might crack the Weller 12 now, its a Binnys hand picked bottle.

Scott,

I found the flavor profile on the Bernheim to be very sharp. Didn't get the smooth sweet syrup of a SW wheater or even the peanuts of a Bernheim wheater. Maybe due to the unusually high amount of wheat. IIRC it is close to 100%??? No corn just seems wierd.

Jeff, It states that it is 100% winter wheat. I haven't opened it yet, but it's something different....I like variety:grin:

I'll post when I have opened it.

Cheers

Was in Texas this week on business. Luckily came across 2 WT Tributes. Shipped 'em home, and they were a welcome sight when I got in at 1:30AM, after a 3-1/2 hr delay at DFW.:drinking:

Not a 'buy' per-se, but I did my first trade and just shot off bottles of ORVW for an '06 BTAC W.Larue Weller. Woo-hoo, this is the one I can't find out here! I should have it by the end of next week, woot woot!

Picked up a full-size bottle of Bulleit. Tried a mini-bottle a while back and remember liking it a lot. A unique and very enjoyable flavor, at least to my amateur palate. Definitely a favorite of the bourbons I have experienced so far.

My Rittenhouse BIB was looking kind of low (imagine that!), so I got a replacement, and also a bottle of Power's Gold Label - it's been a while since I had some Irish whiskey.

Not purchased but I recieved from a friend who recently returned from Italy and Denmark, a one litre bottle of Wild Turkey 101 with the 8 year old age statement.

A friend of mine went to Mexico last Saturday and suprised me today with a litre of Wild Turkey 101 8 year old. I gladly paid him back his out of pocket...$20 bucks...and picked up his tab at lunch today in appreciation of his thoughtfullness.

Weller Centennial, Louisville.

Also found some Amer Picon. Unfortunately, it's not the really old 78 proof stuff, but a 42 proof version from the late 80s or early 90s.

I pick one up on Thursday with the BHC band. Now over $37.00 with tax in MI. I've seen Frankfort versions without the BHC band but didn't bite.

Any recommendations?

This weekend I pickedup Black Maple Hill 11yr. I have the Small Batch and the price was right on this lower one so I snapped it up.

Portland stores have a TON of Saz Rye, which I've seen 1x down here. I should have picked one up as well BUT I didn't think that long neck would survive the trip home.

I picked up a bottle of Rowan's Creek, which I haven't seen out as much lately so I picked one up. I don't hear much about this bourbon but it's definitely in my top 3!

Found another ER 10yr 101 Frankfort bottling today. Yesterday was a VSOF 12 yr from the BHC. I can find lots of the rest but the Old Fitz is scares!

I also picked up an ORVW 15yr 107 with a hand written "N" code on the label (day before yesterday)

Tuesday as I said I would I picked up the A.H. Hirsch 16yr. Gold Wax ($$)

I thought ORVW was 10yr 107proof?

I still haven't seen or tasted ER 10yr 101.

Found a lone bottle of Jefferson Reserve 15 Year in a little shop way out on Eastern Long Island. This is a bourbon I will always pick up should I see it, which is becoming more and more infrequent the further it gets from having switched over to "very old" rather than "15 Yr". I have to go back and revisit my open bottle of this one, it's been a while, and I really enjoy it. Tom
