theDon
Randy,I agree that this is some good stuff.Last week I bought one with 00 stamped into the bottom of the glass. I did a side-by-side comparison with a BHC VSOF, and I could hardly tell the difference, and the 1L bottle was only $23.99!Great finds on the other stuff you picked up, too. That is one dusty I always pick-up. I have a good case stashed. Excellent juice. I just bought 2 handles for $31.99.

jburlowski
That would be the "Limited Edition Barrel Strength" right? How long has it been on the shelves?Right. Just showed up (in No. KY) in the last week or so. Price is $63.99 at Party Source.Quick tasting notes:This is unlike other FR expressions to date. Chuck called it "challenging"; I would say "assertive" --- but in a good way. The usual FR fruity / floral notes are less evident. Definitely nutiness, citrus and licorice with some oak present (but not predominating). Very long finish and nicely balanced.Rutledge has done it again! I'm going to bunker several of these before they're gone.

Tony
Howdy All: I hope you are doing great. I am watching the Red Wings tonight and picked up a bottle of the Pappy's 23. I figure if I am just starting with Bourbon, why not have what folks say is one of the best and then as I continue to learn I can see what I feel of all the other tastes in comparison. Best regards, tony
hectic1
Congrats on the Pappy 23 year...I'm thinking that I might pick one up next time Binny's has a 15% off day...that would make it $186.95...or I could go with 2 15 Year and 3 Lot B's...decisions decisions. Since I do care about great bourbon, enjoy the Pappy 23 but it would not even crack my top 25.

RWBadley
Add 43-3H and 43-3F to my FRSBLE2K9RBSKSBW total. I was almost able to decipher that. I think a few letters are giving me trouble I have been into the Old Bardstown 10, and still can't keep my grubby meathooks out of that MV '41. I gotta move it into the locked closet- otherwise it'll be gone by Monday :skep:
hectic1
With Pappy Van Winkle 15yr inventories starting to dwindle at the local Binny's I decided that I better pick up another bottle for the bunker. I also picked up a Four Roses Single Barrel as well from Binny's Barrel #2.
