tommyboy38
I haven't picked up a bottle in two days and it's killing me. I may have a chance for a small hunt this afternoon.
gblick
Picked up an old-school (white/gray label, dated 2000) 1L bottle of Weller 12yo for a decent price. Will probably try it tonight.

OscarV
I love these Saturday FedEx deliveries.I just got an Old Taylor BIB, distilled Fall 1969 at DSP KY 19, bottled Spring 1978 at DSP KY 14.Tony brought one over a couple of weeks ago and I really liked it so I had to get one. They were closing out the '07s at that price, and, after selling those out, replaced them with the current version without changing the price.I suppose they don't pay much attention to "vintages," which is fine by me as long as I get to reap the benefits. I love that stuff. I have one bottle left in the bunker which makes me sad. That old Castle whiskey has an antique quality to it that I really like. fishnbowljoe
As a result of trades with a couple of other members, I added some WTRR 101 and an Old Fitz BIB to the bunker. Thanks guys. You're part of the reason I'm glad to be a member here. Hat's off to you and all the great folks here. Joe
B3Nut
Through a trade with a kind member I got a handle of Old Forester BIB from the early 90's. I couldn't resist a little teeny 1/2 oz taste...oooooooo! Thanks so much, this is some good, solid bourbon.

OscarV
As much as I have been railing against the recent Wild Turkey releases as being to young, at 22 bucks I'd be buying up those Rare Breeds.

doubleblank
With many of my favorite stores getting picked over by lurkers, et al, I decided to pick up some of my oldies but goodies today. So today I made my first bourbon purchases since the Sampler in Bardstown.I really think the original Weller 12yo is underappreciated as a fine bourbon and collectable/tradeable. Its different from the current version in that it contained some SW in it. Anyway, I bought a handle for $39.99 and a couple of 750's for $21. I also grabbed a Tribute for $89. A WT KS in a box from '96. Passed on some Hirsch 16 GF for $85. Also passed on numerous BHC's like the Old Charter and the I W Harper.Randy

B3Nut
Not really a purchase on my part, but I did some PC setup and install work for a home machine for one of our mainframe programmers, and this morning I came into the office to find a package on my desk with a thank-you on it. Tore off the paper revealing a dark green box...Blantons! I've never had it before...talk about having a great start to one's day! Darn...all these shot glasses from coworkers' trips and we can't drink booze in the office... Actually, I don't know when I'm going to open this one...thanks Pat & Cindy! tommyboy38
A bottle of JW Dant BIB and some Cabin Still just because I rarely see them around here. I'm jealous of the Texans finding the old Weller 12 bottlings and BHC's. I've been hunting high and low and haven't seen but one BHC Old Charter but that was $50 and I passed. I may be planning a hunting trip to Texas!!
Single-Barrel
Well today I had to replenish my stock with a bottle of EWVSB 1997. Barrel # 588 barreled 7-14-97 and bottled on 7-16-07. I was surprised that the liquor store still had a 07 bottling on the shelf. It was covered in dust:rolleyes: so it better be good!! The bottle that I finished was a 1999 vintage which was very pleasant. So I guess I will have to take the task on of trying this one. Man the things I will do for research.
