HighTower
Had some Makers Mark, and then some Hirsch 16.First time I have had the Hirsch and actually enjoyed it. Maybe time has mellowed it finally.I am still tempted to open the bottle of (ri)1 I got today..........Scott
nor02lei
Yesterday I had a JDSS from 2004 and Wood ford reserve for the first time in a long time. The JD was the least “Tennessee tasting†one I ever had. WR did taste a bit better than I did remember, but it sure lacks proof.Today I had OGD114.Leif

Although between you and Oscar, I might leave me WTKS at home! I am actually duplicating one of the tastings we did on Saturday right now. First BT Whitedog (MB 1) and then BT. On Saturday we followed BT with ER 10.

ggilbertva
Wanted a couple of old pours.......'74 Old Fitz Prime and '83 Old Forester. Both really hit the spot tonight. I was itching to open something new but these two pours filled the need.
callmeox
Excellent! Wood char is natures toothbrush. The kid got back from a 9 day Bermuda/Caribbean cruise with Grandma (can you say spoiled??) and they brought back a bottle of Mango Absolut for my wife. I had some over ice and it was pretty tasty.Since I couldn't go to bed having solely consumed fruity vodka, I followed it with a nice pour of Old Heaven Hill Very Rare 8 year old and it really hit the spot.I've not gotten my trip souvenir(s) yet, but rumor has it that there's one really big bottle with red wax and another in a box with an 8 on it.
JamesW
Started with Old Fitz BiB, ORVW 10/107, and now some WTKS that is fast becoming a favorite for me. I got this over the weekend and have been enjoying it immensely. Really nice balance of spice and sweet.
B3Nut
Having a nice small pour of ETL. Dark fruit sweetness with peppery rye spice...little wonder it's sometimes considered a dessert bourbon. Always hits the spot!
Solomon2
1792, WT101, BH. I really like the way some of the WT101 taste hits the middle of the tongue, an area my other bourbons don't touch. Perhaps I should trade my unopened bottle of Jeffersons for a bottle of WTRR and a bottle of Distillers Pride.
ggilbertva
With the Sazerac purchase of OT, I was prompted to pull out my '80 OT handle and enjoy a pour on the front porch. Maybe my tastebuds were super primed last night but that OT sure was tasty.

nor02lei
Yesterday I had Dickel 12, WLW 08 and ORVWFRR-K. All 3 were very good. I wasn’t that impressed about the rye though when first opened, but it has improved a lot by oxidation!Leif
Josh
I would normally be hanging out at my favorite pub right now, but it's too hot for a bus ride today. So I'm starting off my lunch hour with a bottle of RHF Kahn's select. Light and very sweet. And it was $10 cheaper than it is up here.Amy's sister at the Hound Down in the 313 really liked it (due to the horsies) until she discovered the Fox with the hunting scene on the label and then nursed that bottle all night long. Her baby got a little jealous.Anyway, a nice pour for a hot day, but I'm not sure if I'd get it again.
fishnbowljoe
The last pour of ER 101 that I decanted from an 1981 decanter. I'll probably have something else a little later too. Joe
