jburlowski
Taking a couple of (much needed) mental-sanity days off from work. Enjoying some of my last bunkered Weller 12 tonight. Sitting on the deck between thunderstorms --- enjoying a a much-welcomed break from the oppressive humidity.Tomorrow?
ggilbertva
It was a very nice evening here in the VA countryside so I broke out a tot of '82 ER101 and a Padilla 1948.

camduncan
I finished off a bottle of Nelson County last night.... it had about 100ml left in it, and made a perfect after-dinner drink whilst relaxing and watching a couple of episodes of Sopranos. ILLfarmboy
To two and a half ounces of Four Roses Single Barrel I've added a half ounce of WT RR 101 to richen it up. Damn, I really like this....It is really the only blending experiment/combination that I've tried that yields an excellent result.

Special Reserve
Weller Centennial, I don't even have to wonder why. The only problem is that is bottle (like all other Weller Centennial bottles) goes too fast.

fishnbowljoe
Had some friends and family over for dinner and drinks. Had some AAA 10 yr and Coke. The AAA 10 yr was just fair as a sipping bourbon to me, but with a coke it was really good. Wasn't going to buy another bottle, but I may rethink that now. Jono
After dinner with friends...bar selection was somewhat limited (WR, KC, BH)....so I chose the Knob Creek.
nor02lei
Yesterday I had JDSS from my pocket bottle in my right pocket and 101 from 1988 from the bottle in my left pocket listening to Mötley Crue among others. It is the best thing of the year going on in my small town. The peace and love music festival witch is Sweden’s biggest with 36000 visitors in the middle of the city.Leif
Solomon2
1792 mixed with Glayva. The bourbon cuts the liquer's overly-sweet cloyiness and adds a wonderfully complex finish.
Solomon2
Jono: You can choose from WR, KC, BH and consider that limited? In the bars here the choice is Jim Beam or Maker's Mark. Sad to say, I see too many retail consumers who simply walk into the liquor stores here and quickly, almost reflexively, grab one of these two down off the shelf without looking at anything else. callmeox
Today was our annual "first weekend of Summer" party and it went off without a hitch. This is the 6th year that we have had the shindig and it is the first that we have not had some kind of rain or storm event mid-afternoon that sent folks scrambling to the garage or the house.I started the day with a nice Four Roses yellow label and Coke zero while in front of the grill and moved on to some excellent homebrew from my cousin and his girlfriend. As is customary, we moved to an informal bourbon tasting after the initial party morphed into an adult shindig up and we sampled VOB BIB, FRSB, OCPR Slope, WTKS Pewter from 98, WTRR 101 and WT12 CGF.I love using the VOB for the "How much is this bottle? No way!" reaction. We also put a nice dent in a bottle of Dalmore 12 that was a gift from a friend. I'm not a big SMS drinker, but this is one that I can enjoy. camduncan
I'm trying to drink through several open bottles (to make room for more:cool: ), so last night I had a couple of pours of Old Crow. Unfortunately it didn't taste that good, so I had to mix it with some coke zero :skep:
