In the midst of a very long week, but McScrooges selection of Four Roses OESQ barrel strength is a definite pick-me-upper. Not sure which color, but one of the Necco Wafer flavors is in there.

That's what my current NAS bottle of OWA tastes like, and it makes me wonder why I even bother turning to its older brother, Weller 12. The Weller 12 I recently had was very underwhelming in comparison to this caramel delight.

So anyway, guess which one of the two I'm drinking right now

Agreed 100%

I'm having some more now, I think this '06 bottle is the best Weller besides WLarueW that I have ever had.

2nd the 100% agreement.

Bowling night. Everett's Weller SR, Binny's Weller 12, Kahn's OWA, Old Fitz BIB DSP16, FR 100th Anniversary, and 08 FR Mariage. Although I didn't bowl, the team bowled good, and you can see by what we had, we drank good too. Joe

Cracked open a bottle of '05 RHF that I picked up yesterday. Really great stuff with a fine balance of maple/honey and a touch of spice. Finished the night off with some FRSB which was terrific as well.

Last evening I did the EBSG McKenna once again... a very nice, way to easy to drink BIB. Nice job fellas!!

Just opened a Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit.

Pewter Top.

Bottled: 2-13-2001

Barrel No: 3

Warehouse: G

Rick No: 50

Ofcourse the cork broke but I had no trouble getting it out with a cork screw.

Sipping neat from a small snifter, ecellent Turkey.

Last night, Maker's Mark. I thought this was quite good, better than I remember.

Old-time 86,8 Dickel 8 before dinner and Stagg 2010 and OGD 114 after. It was the first time I tasted the new Stagg. A bit restrained nose, but very powerful taste indeed. It will be interesting to see how it will develop with the oxidation.

BMH 21 for me tonight. After sitting in a mostly empty bottle for months it seems even sweeter than I remember.

Vatted a small quantity of Rebel Reserve and Benchmark from the bargain portion of my stash. It made the Rebel Reserve better .............. but how hard was that ?

A friend bought me a bottle of Michter's Unblended American Whiskey which turned out to be better than I had expected. Light and sweet but excellent with dessert.

Old Bardstown Estate 101. For some reason this drink and Johnny Drum 101 is rapidly becoming a go to drink for me. KBD keep up the good work.
