bad_scientist
Picked up a WLW 2011 for $69.99 (DC is awful about BTAC but there's always a diamond in the rough) ... and, when the guy asked me if that was all, I said, no, I'll have an EW 1783, too I did it to get the most expensive and the cheapest bourbons in the store, and whaddya know, I like it - very similar to the independent HH bottlings through KBD and Luxco, at half the price. PaulO
I was driving down Madison Ave. and noticed a brand new stand alone high end liquor store, by the mall  It had been open a few months, they told me. It still smelled like lumber and paint inside. I don't go to that area often, so it was a big surprize. Anyway, I managed to pick up their last handle of Weller SR old label (7 years) for $32, and JTS Brown BIB $11. Those were good deals. Their prices are kind of all over the place. Some of the mid to upper shelf bourbons are higher than prices I know of elsewhere. Other items are normal prices to me.

boneuphtoner
Just got back from a family friends wedding in Louisville, and I picked up the following:- 3 handles of Weller 12- 2 bottles of VOB BIB (tried the 90 proofer years ago and thought it was great, can't wait to crack this one open).- 1 box of the Beam small batch collection minis. Aside from Knob Creek which I really enjoy, I've never tried Baker's, Booker's, or Basil Haydens. Since I am rather cheap, this seemed like a good way to try all of them inexpensively before I commit at least $30 for a bottle.
compliance
Found some ORVW 10/107 on the shelf. It's been one of my favorites this spring and it's not common to find out here so I grabbed another. 10/107 is better than lot B in my opinion.
politely
Picked up a few bottles of PHC 2011, since it's starting to look scarce. While I didn't appreciate the cognac finish when I first opened it, after going through an entire bottle, I've come to like it a lot. Also found a couple bottles of Handy '11 still floating around. Not an everyday drink, but can't imagine being sorry to have some extra around.

JayMonster
Finally broke down and picked a bottle of Elijah Craig 18 which has staring at me since December. With all the talk of it being in short supply, figured I should grab it while it was there.
