If you ever get up north of the city to Roswell there are a couple of places with a very good bourbon selection in downtown Roswell (on Canton Street). I don't know if you ever get up that way but there are some very good restaurants on that street. By far the best bourbon selection is Little Alley Steak. They have PVW23 (and PVW20, I think), ORVW, PHC Cognac finish, Ritt BIB, FRSmB, and a number of other bottles. I usually opt for the FRSmB because it's not as overpriced as some of the others. It's a nice bar, with actual whiskey glasses to drink out of, instead of the standard double old fashioned glass (they use the Reidel Single Malt glass for their whiskey). It's worth checking out if you're up in that area.

Now THAT is a great whiskey list. I've been hearing good things about downtown Roswell. Looks like I found my reason to make a trip up that way.

You now have a reason to go there soon! You have a pick-up on Johnson Ferry to make on the way. ;)

I was just thinking the same thing - and that's a short trip for me from Marietta! I'd been in that downtown area before but never stopped in to check their selection (as I've been only disappointed with every other place I've checked around here). They're not giving any of it away, but looks like a nice place to try a couple things without having to buy the whole bottle.

Hmm... Baby Saz for $18 or VWFRR for $20? That is a great list.

Last night I tried the Parker's Heritage 27 year old for the first time. My expectations were completely wrong. It wasn't too taninic, and the corn really shined through. In fact, I would have thought that it was much younger.

Certainly one of the most easy drinking whiskeys that I have ever tried.

Baby Saz for $18? I must be some kinda cheap ass but I wouldn't dream of paying that when I can get a whole bottle for $25. Money is just too damned hard to come by to blow that kind of dough.

Now that's a helluva idea, Joe!

I had to pay $35 for my bottle of Saz yesterday. But that seemed to be the only bottle in town so it was pay up or do without.

Yeah, maybe they meant to refer to the Saz 18. At $16, that would be the same price they are charging for the Handy.

Troyce and I are sitting out in my garage enjoying a few pours of an unchillfiltered, SB selection of Elijah Craig 15 yr. Unabashed to say excellent barrel selection. :yum:

I am sipping some ETL at the office before I head home for the weekend. Who sprinkled cinnamon spice on my caramel corn?!

Local Three is pretty good...I've only been there once though. It has a nice selection, however no where in ATL will have as good a selection as many of us have at home! :)

H. Harper Station has a good selection according to their online menu, but I've never been there. I don't know how up-to-date the drink menu is either.

The other restaurant in that area with a bourbon bar is Table and Main. They carry the FRSB, FRSmB, a couple of High West selections, a couple BMH selections, etc. Not as many options as Little Alley Steak, but more than the standard JD/MM/KC options.

*This probably goes without saying, but obviously both bourbon menus can change according to availability, so if you're looking to try a specific bourbon on this list I'd call first.

Right! Unless you went to a certain intown ATL restaurant where the saz 18 and HW 21 rye flows like water for SB members. Cause my guests don't know what to do with it. (for the most part)

A healthy pour of the 2012 4RLESB after a work dinner. You know, it's a shame you can't get this type of pour at a so-called "nice" restaurant

Some EC12 and SB Blend while watching Where the Buffalo Roam. Totally forgot about the WT-drinking doberman! Priceless ...

If only I could go to your place every time, Kevin! Now that I think about it, I am overdue ...
