Started with some FR1B. Now switching to Sazerac 18. Wow. Hadn't visited it in a while. Yummy!

Spent last weekend at Kiawah at the PGA Championship. Opened up a 2010 bottle of Stagg and it was amazing. Cut it to about 100 proof. One person drinking it is a huge scotch man and he fell in love with it. Great stuff.

Last night was a Baker's night. I can find it locally for $26 and for that price, it can't be beat.

Enjoyed my first pour of the GBS EC-12(15) last night, and flighted it vs. TPS EC-12.

The GBS inaugural barrel shined. Darker, more vanilla, with hint of caramel, with a balanced wooded finish. Mighty fine.

I'm lovin this.:cool::cool:

GBS done good!!!!

Look forward to picking some of those up! I'm enjoying (?) some Kentucky Deluxe - which I hate to admin isn't as horribly awful as I suspected it would be (although it will permit me to really appreciate the good stuff when I get home this weekend!)

Having some BHC OCPR SS tonight and for some reason I just haven't been able to get into any of the Old Charter selections...it's decent stuff but not something I'd reach for on a regular basis...

Four Roses LE Single Barrel 2012. Raised in honor of Sam Watts, KIA in Afghanistan. Today would have been Sam's 21st birthday. Cheers Sam, and Thank You.

EWSB '02 DEPS selection, been awhile since I've poured from this bottle, solid flavorful pour.

Started with some WT Rare Breed, then moved onto TPS selection ETL. The ETL is fantastic. I've tried Rare Breed before, and it's good this time, but not as good to my palate as the ETL. Still, a very good night so far!

OGD 112, cut to like 90-100 proof, followed by a vintage 17 pour topped off with SB blend. i'll sleep well tonight but still be able to have a run in the morning.

AAA 10yr. Such a solid pour that I'm happy to have a backup for when this bottle's empty!

I'm having my first pour of Bulleit. I'm getting a little cinnamon on the pallate that I like but it has a thin mouth feel. Not a bad bourbon but at the $30 it goes for around here I feel it is over priced. If it were $10 less I could see myself keeping a bottle on hand. Even though I am less than impressed by the bourbon I still want to try their rye.

Spend a few dollars more and try Four Roses Single Barrel. Bulleit is watered down FR with the price jacked up. You might like the real thing more. As for the Bulleit rye, it's LDI; unless you have no access to any recent young Willet rye, again you're overpaying for watered down, sourced whiskey.

Since I was in the Tasting forum and decided to see if I could find the date on my bottle of EC12, that's what I'm drinking.

EC12. First taste. Found a moldy cork , but it doesn't appear to carry over to the whisky ? I think. Nice, but need to find a balance with water.

Good call there Glenn_B (please don't tell me you are Glenn Beck),...Parker Beam the Master Distiller at Heaven Hill said he bottles all his whiskey with the notion that water be added.

A couple of Tucker's signature Supercharged SB Blends. I'm finding I can go heavier on the Weller 12 when supercharged, and the result is nicer than my usual "heavy on the OWA" with the regular SB Blend. Science is fun! :D
