Starting the night with some OWA 1789b #8...probably going to move into some rye bourbon then some rye whiskey as the night progresses! :)

Enjoying some EHT Barrel Proof cut down to 110 proof. This bottle continues to impress.

Slowed down for a nice pour of PVW20 before bed and how rewarding it is has proven to be,the right way to cap off this evening.

Sitting back and enjoying some Binny's Weller 12 while I'm going through and updating my music files and playlists on my computer.

1792, and it's starting to finally grow on me. It's certainly it's own animal, which I respect.

Had a pour of Rock Hill Farms last night. This is my first bottle of it and I'm enjoying it, tons of fruit flavors on the finish

Great minds think alike. I'm doing the exact same thing! (And I think I need a larger hard drive.)

A 375 ml Taylor 86 proof, with "85" embossed on the base of the old yellow label bottle, surely released in that year as confirmed by the statement on the label of both distillation and bottling in Frankfort.

I bought three of these recently in SF, and each is somewhat different although seemingly from the same case. This current one is brandy smooth/buttery/fruity and very complex. A real winner and nothing today really comes close, IMO. I believe it may be more than the stated 6 years old based on the palate intricacy, and also, I seem to recall that the Gran-dad distillery (where Taylor was made after the Castle shut down) was not operating in the years prior to the sale in '87... It might therefore be a mid-70's distillation. On the shelf of a store in SOMA, minding its own business until I spotted it.

Tried one of my Old Taylor 86s last night. This one was from 88 and while I didn't find it as complex as yours, it was plenty enjoyable. smooth butterscotch candy from start to finish.

Tonight it's V17.

Really enjoying the ERSB. My local store has such a great deal on the 1.75L that I couldn't resist. Plus it seems the bottle doesn't empty as fast as the smaller ones

Finished off a bottle of Weller 12 last night. Good to the last drop, either straight up or in the SB blend.

Went to a dive bar with coworkers after work today. The kind where the beer choices are pretty well limited to bud light or miller lite. Took a peek at the bottles and the only bourbons were Jim Beam White and Maker's. Well, at least the doubles of Maker's served in plastic cups were only $4.00.

I'm drinking some High West American Prairie Reserve. I haven't gotten too far into this bottle yet but I am enjoying it so far. For me, the older high-rye juice in the blend shines through.

Settling down in the garage for a night of preseason NFL and Braves later on the West coast with a pour of a Single Barrel Bowman 8yr. This bourbon is incredibly drinkable, and lush. No hard edges at all, and with a nuanced sweetness that is just about perfect.

Enjoyed a nice pour of Fountainhead Elijah Craig 21 y/o SB, woody, but not too much, very refined balance of flavors

I joined you with the bourbon...a 50/50 mingling of the C barrel and BOTY barrel works best for me...nuanced sweetness is a great description. It reminds me a little of a fanatstic desert wine like a Barsac with even a little raisined taste. Maybe a little longer finish would make it perfect for me. White Sox just pissed away a 6 run lead so I'm not talking sports.

A pour of Taylor Tornado and then FR OESF Single Barrel. The mouthfeel of the OESF is rediculous....a terrific bottle of bourbon.
