I haven't had V17 wheater lately, so I decided to crack a bottle for brunch. So easy drinking, it's a shame its going away.

Grill is warming, steaks are ready to go and the Dixie Dew has been poured. It's been a fabulous day here in Chicago with temps dropping to the mid-seventies and a nice steady breeze. After dinner I'm thinking I'll sit out on the deck with some tunes, a few bottles of Bell's Oberon and a nice tall glass of 2008 WLW to sip on throughout the evening. Should be fun!

Enjoying a nice pour of FR1B and about to head to the deck and enjoy these beautiful temps with a HW Campfire on the ready!

Polished off a bottle of VSOF. Not bad, but probably not something I'll replace especially for the price.

After a full day of officiating football scrimmages [the season starts the end of the month], I came home and had four fingers of EWB. At that particular time, place and circumstances ... it tasted wonderful.

Took a bottle of Russell's Reserve to a dinner party last night, and it didn't make it home. Great stuff. Will definitely buy more.

Preparing for a little WT Rare Breed. Had this once before after several tastings and didn't remember anything about it, so hoping to have a more informed opinion from this one!

Healthy pour of SB blend last night followed by 2008 WLW. Nice evening under the stars!

I had a vacant spot or two on my "open" shelf, so I decided to open a Binny's Weller 12. It's been a long time since I've had one of these open. It still tastes as good as ever. :yum: Cheers! Joe

Having a nice pour of 2011 PHC after a long day of packing. Looking forward to another once the move is complete!

Having a plus-size pour of 4R 2012 LE 1B to wash away the disappointment of coming up empty on a gift shop bottle today.

It's a more than fair consolation.

Made some Hoppin' John soup tonight and enjoyed some PVW 20 while doing so. Next up will likely be some 2009 FR Mariage.

If you are trying a sweet bourbon, try adding some mineral water, like Pellegrino, or Saratoga. The saltiness of the mineral water can play off of the sweetness of the bourbon rather well, in the right amounts...

Kahn's EC12, followed by SB Blend (60/40 - best ratio so far), wrapping up with Kain's OWA. What a delicious night!

OWA 1789b #10...spicy on entry followed by some sweetness of caramel and vanilla with some oak undertones to it on the back end. Not bad for just being opened today...I'll come back to it in a couple weeks to see how it's doing!
