AaronWF
Had a Uinta Cahoots Rye IPA tonight. Good stuff.I've gone through at least a case of their Hop Notch IPA over the last few weeks - bright citrus hops and a sweetly mellow finish make for a perfect summer IPA. It's been consoling me while Zombie Dust has been on sabbatical these last few months.

tanstaafl2
Will do. May go looking for a fresh Midas Touch to serve as a comparison, if there is any around.Really want to crack open the Noble Rot as well but it is a bomber and so it may have to wait for the weekend.Opened the oldest Midas Touch I had left which was from Aug 2011. Seemed none the worse for time. Maybe a bit more mellow but I keep forgetting to pick up a fresh set for comparison. This one spent most of its life hiding in the back of the fridge. Yeti
Pre-gaming for the WWE ppv with an Arctic Panzer Wolf. Sometimes I think all the high quality imperial/double IPAs start to taste the same, but damn this is a good one.

JVande
Southern Tier - Creme Brûlée Imperial Milk Stout - the nose reminds me nothing of a beer, rather dessert in a glass. Tequila Rose comes to mind. Looking forward to how this one will age over the next year. Suprisingly, I actually picked up a little bitterness.

I have a handful of those (along with the port, sherry and calvados finished varieties), some from the 2006 vintage and some from 2008, that I need to check out soon! tanstaafl2
Finishing what may be the last of the Founder's Cerise I have that I recently found hiding in the back of the refrigerator with the DFH Midas Touch. Still very pleasant even if the cherry is a bit subdued. This bottle was probably from 2011.

Did you pick up the herbal notes?Good grief, now I want some badly!Yes, I thought they were still there if perhaps a bit muted. Just need to find a relatively current one to compare it to. The others I have are not quite as old but have been sitting in the basement, not the refrigerator. Once I get around to getting a newer one I will give them a try.
