suntour
Wild Turkey Tradition at the bar, pretty good but definitely not worth the $100/bottle they want for it. Now at home and trying to decide between Good Ole WT101, Rare Breed, RRSmBSB, or WTR101 to follow it up with.

Now at home and trying to decide between Good Ole WT101, Rare Breed, RRSmBSB, or WTR101 to follow it up with.Just open a bottle of WTKS. Never had it before, primarily based on price in comparison with WT101 and WTRB. It is pretty solid. Peppery with a heavy spike of rye at the end. Hint of caramel and toffee. Paid $35 for the bottle. I need to sample side-by-side with WT101 before deciding whether to grab another bottle.

flahute
Started with KCSB. I'm most of the way through the bottle, and have had it in multiple circumstances, and find it to be consistently good to the point I will call it among my favorites and worthy of bunkering. If I opened up a WFE bottle at twice the price and tasted this, I would consider it a major score and would be trying to find more.I finished the night with RRSmBSB or whatever it is. Really dig this one also but struggle with the price we pay in Washington State. ($60)
fishnbowljoe
Long story, but I'll make it short(er) for a change. :skep: I woke up early this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. So, I got up, cranked up some jazz tunes and put a load of laundry in the washer. I made myself some breakfast, ate, put the laundry in the drier, and then I washed the dishes. After that, I sat back with a second cup of Millstone Chocolate Velvet coffee with a nice pour of 07 WLW on the side. A page right out of Special Reserve's book. Cheers! jonhalter
A pour from a bottle of blantons I bought my dad a little over a year ago. Still very good, but not quite as good as I remember. Ive had quite a bit of really good bourbon in the past year. When I first tasted Blantons, it was by far the best I'd had. Now its top 10-15. What a difference a year can make when you really get into this hobby.

393foureyedfox
had a hell day on the floor today and I joked about bringing an IV start kit home and connecting one end to a cask strength bottle and the other half to me, and beginning a bourbon infusion. sounds tempting, but i dont wannbe the guinea pig.
