garbanzobean
Finally tried Four Roses 125th tonight. Amazing. All the classic Four Roses characteristics I love, rearranged slightly, with an even better mouthfeel. I was getting some chocolate, but that may have been related to the whisky I had prior to that. At any rate, totally kicking myself for not trying harder to buy a few bottles of this last year.

flahute
Last night I revisited CEHT BP after a long layoff. First half of the pour came off super hot and had me scratching my head as to what happened to this bottle. It finally opened up and became more balanced after about an hour. It was very enjoyable at that point.

Flyfish
Watched the Steelers being brilliant, then stupid until Roethlisberger redeemed himself in the final 6 seconds. It was an HH afternoon: 1783, EW BIB, and EW SB. What with FC during South Carolina games, football and HH just seem a natural pairing. OSU and OYO might work. Never had OYO. Never had OYO.I have come to enjoy the occasional HH day! For me it is usually, EWSB, ECBP, EC12. With the discussion of Willett in another thread, I revisited one of my favorite WFE's tonight while watching the hometown Colts play the Broncos. Enjoying a solid pour of WFE 9 year (Vine & Table), 129 proof with a few small cubes of ice.
n811
I think you should have a side by side of WTRB112 and RR110, and tell us how they compare!Been wondering that same thing myself. No RB112 here yet but I had a RRSmBSBsbsbsmmsbb tonight. Delicious, but maybe better than most since we got it from the distillery last spring. Red One
Cracked open my only bottle of Elijah Craig 18 for my 50th birthday last night. My sons and I made quick work of it as it paired nicely with dinner and some Drew Estate Java cigars. Had been saving it for a couple of years and it was totally worth it! flahute
Started with Henry McKenna 10yr BIB. This is my second taste of it. The first taste had some strong sandalwood notes, but I don't pick that up this time around. It's still unique compared to others on my shelf and I'm still trying to figure it out. Followed that with OF Sig. The first two times I tried this, I could taste the clear ingredients that would become OFBB'13 if it was aged longer. Tonight, it tasted a bit thin. Scratching my head. I needed to redeem the night so I'm finishing with OGD114 which is always good.
