Not purchases today - more like the last two months. The fall haul - BTAC and Pappy. All for a grand total of $10 over MSRP:

^^^How the ___?! I was only able to get one GTS.

Bought a KCSB tonight (kind of based on the recent thread) and although not bourbon a Bourbon County Vanilla Rye.

I have been really busy lately so this is a summary that goes back to Black Friday. I'm not sure I'd want to read a log like this of all my purchases this year...

Black Friday Pappy Frenzy (Rockford, IL) - Was able to get the last bottle of ORVW10/107 for a reasonable price; also purchased WT Forgiven (I enjoy it), Rittenhouse Rye, and a Larceny to keep at my parents' house for when I visit. Not bourbon, but I also snagged the 2014 release of Goose Island Bourbon County.

Pappy Lottery Bonanza (Peoria, IL) - I did not win the chance to buy any Pappy but Phil Prichard was there for a tasting and signing bottles, so I asked him to sign a bottle of Double Barreled Bourbon for my future father-in-law. A couple gifts for other people too (SAOS 7yr and RR1792), nothing for me.

Trip to Binny's (Bloomington, IL) - FRSB PS OESQ, Bernheim Wheat (on sale), Michter's Toasted Barrel (I was curious), and Binny's selection of ER10.

Miscellaneous - RR SmB SB, another HWMND (can't remember what Act), CEHT SmB, and Johnny Drum Private Stock.

Now I think I can slow down for a while since I'm not hunting for Fall releases anymore. I am going to TN after Christmas though...

Jason

I've visited that Bloomington Binny's a few times, when I travel up to visit my wife's family in Pekin.

Was there a few days before they got their Van Winkle allocation this year, but they did sell me a GTS to make up for it.

I am really liking all versions of the MWND I have tried.

Random stop at my local today... very nice surprise to be offered ORVW10 @ $59.99. I picked up a WTRB 112 as well, just to show some appreciation.

An ER, store picked barrel. ER hasn't hit my buttons in the past but my dealer has been pretty on some of his other selections so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Oh and another CETHBP for the bunker.

After getting pissed off at all of the stores that had PVW 15 in stock for $500 or more, I picked up a HWMWND act 2.7 and CEHTBP.

Two unexpected surprises tonight. First, Evan Williams Single Barrel, vintage 2005. I'm really excited about this one, because EWSB is one of my perennial favorites.

Also came across a new shelve full of Stagg Jr, 3rd batch, bottled at 132.1. I did some light googling, and some people are saying this batch is markedly better than 1 and 2. So I'm giving it a shot.

Got a surprise e-mail that my store had a bottle of PVW 12 with my name on it. First time I've gotten a bottle of any Pappy and pretty excited about it. Got plans to take it to the new year's eve party as several of my friends there also like nice bourbons.

Also came across a new shelve full of Stagg Jr, 3rd batch, bottled at 131.2. I did some light googling, and some people are saying this batch is markedly better than 1 and 2. So I'm giving it a shot.

I have and tried the 02, 03 and 04 and can't say a bad thing about any of them. Glad to hear the 05 has promise.

Just ordered 6x bottled of WT1018YO. I thought the local supply had run out. When it is delivered on XMas eve, I'll know if it has or not.

If it is the 8YO, it will be a happy XMas Eve present!

I thought the 8yr was standard overseas? Are they getting rid of age statement in asia as well?? I know they just got rid of the 12 year 101, replaced with a 13 year 91.

I'm not sure what the deal is. But my primary Taiwan source no longer has the 8YO, it only has the standard 101. So, I am doing my best to pick up a few while I still can. Last time I was Narita, the 8YO was in plastic bottles. Yuck!

I picked up a Willett 9yr (one of the best noses of the year for me and the taste is pretty damn good too), a Lost Prophet, a Barterhouse, a Bell Meade Sherry Cask, and a Jim Beam Black 8yr for the bunker since the age statement is going away. I'm looking forward to opening up the Lost Prophet Christmas morning to enjoy along with a Monte Cristo No. 2.

Wow, apparently I should talk to the staff instead of just assuming what they have is out on the shelves or in the glass case. Nice work, both of you.

Jason

The PHC7 was on the shelf :)

Didn't purchase, but got a bottle of OWA Party Source selection from my boss! Looks like it is just a month or two under 7 years old.
