Hit a 20% off spirits sale (at a generally overpriced store) today. Picked up HH6BiB for $8.79, and got a couple good deals on Tequila and Armagnac as well.

Finally bought a bottle of EH Taylor Small Batch. I can't count how many times I've passed on this bottle previously. Looking forward to trying it though.

36 Fighting Cock nips for a $1.00 ea. Ezra B 12 year old. MM 46 for $28.99. The clerk used the scanner and it came up $38.99, but I pointed out the price tag he let me have it, but headed over to change the price on the other 2 bottles. Real slim picking in my regular spots

One of my luckiest days. I got a PVW 20 at a raffle during lunch. Traveled a few hours with the wife, and she had her ticket pulled first at a separate raffle and got the PVW 23.

I have no words.

Finally picked up my first Smooth Ambler. Grabbed an Old Scout 10 year tonight, along with my first WT Rye 101, and the new Great King St Glasgow Blend. I really like the Old Scout so far.

I bought a bottle of Booker's two weeks ago at Total Wine in Seattle for $79.31 out the door, the least expensive price in the metro area.

I just walked out the door of Total Wine in Dallas TX with a bottle of Booker's for $43.29.

That hurts a little.

Dang man......that does hurt. My last two bottles of Bookers were purchased from Minnesota for precisely this reason.

Out early today. For the bunker, picked up two bottles of OESV 10yr 114 proof, and another Dickel 9yr. Wanted to sample the OESV before stocking up, but it is delicious, so it was time to buy some backups.

I asked my brother to attend a bourbon raffle and he got me a WLW. This was my first BTAC or Van Winkle bourbon this year. I owe him big time.

Picked up a WTRB wtr03 at Wade's. Met a member of PLOWED with some great stories over a pour of Willet's 8 rye and Kavalan Port barrel.

Picked up a store select 4R SB OBSV today. Will probably do some comparisons to my bottle of OESO tonight.

post-10789-14489821768424_thumb.jpg A few that you don't see around that often , at least not around here, the Baby saz was hiding in the corner behind some others, it was the only one... like someone put it there intentionally, I was also told that the WTR 101 was exclusive to them, and that usually was only shipped to restaurants, does that sound right? Anyone ever had this, or the OC101?

I occasionally see the new 1 liter WTR 101 on the shelf, perhaps more now than when it first came out. But it was initially advertised as being intended primarily an on premise bottling. I have only seen the new WTR 101 in liter bottles. if that is a 750 then presumably it is the pre "shortage" WTR 101. Some think the new one is a little different. I don't have an old one for comparison so I couldn't say. The new one seems fine as a basic rye, if a bit more spendy than it used to be.

If you look closely, you can see that the one pictured above is a 1 liter.

Apparently, Internet Wines and Spirits has the new WTR101 in 750ml.

On a road trip for work. Picked up the following:

ETL

OF SB Store Select

Booker's (it's C07-B-7 which I think is roundtable)

The OF SB tastes like 2013 OFBB and was picked for this reason.

My wife and I took a quick trip down to Bardstown this past weekend. My MM Ambassador barrel had been dumped, so we went to MM to purchase a couple of bottles from my barrel. While there, I also grabbed a couple more MMCS's. While on the way there, and on the way home, I also grabbed a few other things.

My haul from the weekend:

1-dusty Woodford Reseve.

1-BT (couldn't pass this up in Indy for $19.99)

1-HH 6 yr BIB

2-MM liters from my Ambassador barrel

2-MMCS's

1-private selection KCSBR

I reckon I'll have to update my spreadsheet. I have to add these to the 120 bottles I have on my list. ;)

Cheers! Joe
