petrel800
Thinking about a WFR 9yr, anyone out there try this stuff? If so how is it? Price $72. I am enjoying the 5yr old, that's about the only expression I've had from them...beside the pot still stuff. That price is one of the better ones I have seen of late for WFE. Obviously that is just in comparison to some of the other WFE pricing I've seen. As for taste, Old Dusty nailed it, each barrel is different and who knows where it came from. 393foureyedfox
bought my first ever bottle of EC12. I enjoy it when out or at a friends house but have never bought one myself. I was lured in with a store selection for $28 when I stopped in the kroger liquor store to get my workplace secret santa some Bailey's. Her name is.....take a guess.... squire
We bought a lot of EC12 years ago but have kinda gotten away from it. A good bottle is very good but a few were inconsistent.

NickSmithIsDead
Picked up my first bottle of Angel's Envy today. For some reason I always assumed this one was overrated/overpriced and never gave it a chance, but I had a pour of it while out at dinner Friday night and really enjoyed it. flahute
Was at a local independent liquor store that I recently discovered and have started to frequent and the owner snuck out of the back room and secretly handed my wife a bottle of OFBB and said to her "I bet he'll like this one, it would make a great Christmas present." Very cool of him and we bought it of course.
Tony Santana
After sitting on the sidelines for any new purchases for a couple of weeks, I grabbed a CEHT BP (the new 129 proof batch that seems to be getting raves) and the WR Masters Collection Sonoma-Cutrer Pinot Noir finished bottle. The latter has received mixed reviews and I know a lot of sb members are now steering clear of the Masters Collection series. I've been picky about them so far, only buying the Four Wood from a couple of years ago, which I enjoyed. But this one intrigued me enough to cough up the necessary coin. I really enjoyed it. Didn't have the caramel or butterscotch-dominant taste I tend to associate with most of my favorite bourbons, but the pinot finish lends a nice red fruit taste, and it was almost brandy-ish, while still being quite rye-forward. Complex and tasty without the coppery taste those who tend to dislike WR associate with it. Whether its worth the money is up for debate, but I liked it quite a bit. tanstaafl2
Stumbled upon a bottle of the Belle Meade Sherry finish which I have had the opportunity to try and quite liked. More tolerable than say the Willett XCF at half the price so I decided to take it for a ride. Also saw a bottle of the Michter's 20yo bourbon. Allegedly only a few of these came to Atlanta but I took a pass all the same. Didn't even ask the price. Didn't need to! But if anyone is interested send me a PM! Clavius
Haven't had or purchased any bourbon in a couple of weeks. Decided to go with Maker's 46 since I haven't had it in quite a long time. Looking forward to trying it later.
