What Bourbon did you purchase today? Fall 2014

Picked up 2 bottles of Evan Williams BIB and a bottle of Evan Williams 1783. Never tried either one, first time I've seen them available in my area. Always looking for new bourbon!

Yeah, I know. It's well-regarded here. But it definitely does not get much press, nor does it really seem to be well-regarded by a lot of retailers. I was reading that PA closed out OGD 114 for something like $14 a year or two ago. I guess it didn't sell. Now 114 is SLO only, and even BIB is SLO.

On a road trip for work. Picked up the following:

Booker's (it's C07-B-7 which I think is roundtable)

The OF SB tastes like 2013 OFBB and was picked for this reason.

If it's way cheaper, OF SB sounds like a great deal- OFBB is tasty stuff. Yes, that Booker's is the 2014 roundtable, from what I've read on here.

I'm a big fan of EWBiB but have never tried 1783. After you've had EWBiB, it's hard to go back to EWB.

I picked up a bottle of Larceny, very expensive in the NYC area compared to what some of you folks are paying and a bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel. I thought that was very impressive even though I am more of a wheater fan. Count me as a fan of the 4RYL & the SB, I am beginning to see what you folks are talking about.

I typically try to limit my purchases to those under $45-$50 but I splurged today. Bought the '14 Four Roses Limited Edition SmB and the CEHT Barrel Proof for Christmas and New Year's. We don't get much of the limited edition stuff around here so I said what the hell. I had last year's version of the FR and thought it was outstanding. Bourbon budget is shut down for a while though...
