garbanzobean
Last bottle buy of the year (sure) is a OESQ. Never had this recipe. Looking forward to it.If it happens to be around 10ish years of age and bottled in 2014, you should be aware: Jim Rutledge has mentioned how proud he is of the exceptional OESQ barrels in that age range Four Roses has been able to bottle for numerous customers this year. You know, in case you wanted to investigate the quality of your store's barrel. A store near me got an absolute honey barrel of the stuff earlier this fall, and I picked up a few after the initial tasting.
El Vino
Not bourbon nor purchased, but a client gave me a lock, stock and barrel. Heard mixed reviews but I'll take it for free. Also bought a VOB BiB AS on the way home. Can't beat the price! I have this open on the bar right now and am really impressed. Most of the criticism is leveled at the price. What's in the bottle is high quality juice. I just wish it was cheaper. Look forward to your notes when you crack it open.
El Vino
At a store with a shelf full of Walking Stick (still undecided), I picked up a 9 YO Willett Bourbon @ 119.4 proof. First time I have ever seen a Willett Bourbon in the wild in NJ. Paid $79.99. My son arrives home tomorrow for a month, so looking forward to cracking this one over the holidays. Harry in WashDC
Some VOB BIB @ $16, BT @ $20, and a Stagg Jr. BP 123(? It's downstairs; I think that's what it was) at an embarrassing price which I rationalized because the VOB & BT were "cheap".

Got this muled to me via a friend who recommended it HIGHLY. It is indeed 10 years old and bottled this year. It is dark juice, 57% ABV. Unfortunately I have the flu and can't taste it tonight, but I will definitely let you know.I agree and have three different OESQs this year and all were excellent. I have a 12 year from 2013 which rivals all the LE single barrels I've had... from 2011 to 2014.

Flyfish
Went to my purveyor of bourbon pleasure for some WT101 to share with a friend tonight. Saw an Old Rip Van Winkle 10YO so I grabbed it. Only one on the shelf. This being Ohio, there won't be any more. Can't wait to open it!No, that's not right. Opened it the minute I got home.ORVW reminds me of Forrest Gump's box of chocolate. You never know what you are going to get. I got some caramel, vanilla, honey, licorice, coconut, and chocolate. Then something herbal and woody like thyme. Finally, something mineral that reminded me of the flinty taste of really dry white Bordeaux. The combination of herby, woody, and rocky is like walking along a stream in the Smokies. With just a drop of water, it got even creamier but it didn't seem to change the palate in other respects. I'll be drinking this neat.

r60slash5
Was in RI Had a $25.00 credit at a liquor store picked up some stuff I have never seen in this area before. Mellow Corn, EW white label, and the McKenna. OWA, EW1783, and ETL have all disappeared from the local spots I frequent. EHT BP I just needed that. I finshed the last bottle I had. Paddy
Managed to find a EHT BP today. I wasn't on the shelf, but W12 is so scarce here that the owner (a friend), tried to give it to me in exchange for a W12. I did allow him to discount my bottle for exactly what I had paid for the W12 (he hasn't seen one in a year). Crazy times!

Single barrel products from various undisclosed sources. The price is on the low side of the new normal for WFE though.

Just starting to appreciate the WFE, and the first one was quite delicious, so I already knew I was in for this one, when they called me on it. I guess I was more curious on price, although all that I have seen has never been on the "low side" that's for sure.
