What Bourbon did you purchase today? / Summer 2015

Picked up a store select,SB of BT, really smooth with some sweet notes to it, I like these SB BT's better than the regulars, I also came home with a W12 from a family get together this weekend, my bro found 3 of them and gave me one, now I just need to find me another OWA.

Picked up a bottle of BT while out shopping today. I cleared out more room on the top shelf of one of my kitchen cabinets to fit more juice, the wife none the wiser. Also cleared some room in my "crawl" space for a bunker.

Finally picked up a bottle on the Booker's Center Cut batch. Been eyeing it for awhile now, and finally pulled the trigger before they are all gone. Plus it was on sale at just under $43.

Those are great bookers prices. It is 50 or 60 up here so I never bought any til my IN trip when I grabbed 3 on sale for ~37 and am now kicking myself for not clearing their shelves.

wow... $37. the lowest I've seen them was for $45 when Binny's had them on sale last month and Costco has them for $45 too. I think I need to head to IN.

Managed to find a bottle of ECBP this afternoon which was a nice surprise. I have lost count as to what batch we are now on but it is 139.8 proof which sounds yummy to me!

Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon.

I do not care for their standard release stuff, and the Single Barrel I tried a few days ago was not much better, but I've heard good things about the Cowboy, and I know it goes fast, so I took a shot.

I'm not going to open it until I get to try a sample (which I get to do next week), but if I don't like it, maybe I can trade it to someone who really loves their stuff.

Busy week - picked up 2 ETLS (one for my father in law) and a Weller 12 while in Boston for work. Also was gifted a bottle of Blantons. Headed to Kentucky next week so that will be tough on the wallet!

Picked up a Four Roses SmB a few days ago. I liked Four Roses Yellow Label, so I am making my way up the ladder. Will eventually get to the Single Barrel and different recipes, but, I want to get a feel for Four Roses before I jump in the deep end.

I went the other way, SiB, SmB and have yet to try YL. When doing SbS I thought I liked the SmB better but they were so close my young taste buds couldn't tell much difference. I have a bottle of each downstairs for another future SbS to try and pick a fave some day and hoping I find a barrel proof store pick before that day for a 3 way tasting.

I started out with the SB first too and then went to try the SmB. I actually don't like the SmB very much, but love the SB. the SmB tastes kinda flat to me. I will have to try them sbs sometime soon.
