Another Stagg Jr. 130 proof $48.99. A grocery store clerk actually went to the back to get it since they were out on the shelf. Adding to my stock since the missus is drinking it now too.

And how did they compare?.....I have a couple of 6yrs in the bunker but haven't tried it yet. Wasn t crazy about the nas.

Haven't done the SBS yet. Just bought the FC this morning. This is a trend though where I'm trying to pick up a bunch of formerly age stated brands and their new NAS counterparts to hopefully do a big blind SBS with a few friends to see how everyone evaluates them. FC, KC, EC, JBB, etc.

Picked up an OE7101 with the new label today - not just because of the new label but it was cheaper than I usually see it and it had the new label ;) 

 

Also picked up 2 more HMK10BIB

Good price and an older bottle - that's at least 3 releases back in time

Picked up another Woodford Reserve Brandy Finish, after several misses with their special releases this one is a hit for me.

3 bottles of EC12 with the age statement on the front at about $24 each OTD. I picked up 1 bottle from this place about 2 months ago, leaving 4 or 5 more on the shelf at the time. Having really come to enjoy the last bottle of EC12 that I finished in January (age on the back), I decided to go back for more of these. Only 4 were left, so I grabbed 3 and left 1 for someone else to enjoy.

 

They also had about 5 bottles of Blanton's SftB bottled in January 2006. When I was last here they had only 1 of these, which I left on the shelf because the wax seal was gone completely, but they must have found another box somewhere. These were all marked down to about $50 each because of  condition of the seals (new ones usually go for $75 ~ $80), but I grabbed one that had minimal evaporation. At that price, I'm tempted to go back for 1 or 2 more that also had minimal evaporation, but I wasn't going to be able to carry more than 4 bottles in my bag (using public transportation), so that's where things ended.

The batch number 3RB at 108.2 proof was only one release back from the current 112 proof, right? The 3RB batch lasted for years and years I know.

You have to be on a list for regular Buffalo Trace?  Those are stacked 10 deep on most shelves here.  I remember at one point last year there was a shortage but it didn't last long.  ER is rare (ha!) but can be found with a little looking. Blanton's is even harder to find.

The release now is 116.8 IIRC and just released last month so yours would be 3 back, also yours was prior to the label change to the larger numbers on the neck so it's earlier in that release

I knew the 116 proof was next but I didn't know it was already out.  I haven't seen it in my area yet. I wasn't aware of the different size text on the neck, so thanks for the info. I have a half dozen or so batch # 3RB in my bunker, so I'll have to check mine for differences.

grabbed these today. went on a hunt for any holdout SAOS rye, which turned up null, but grabbed these anyway. Never had the WFE 3 year, but figured at barrel proof and $37, I'd try it

I've had this in my cabinet since the end of December. 116.8. Great stuff.

Cool, thanks. I see they didn't really overhaul the labeling like I thought they were going to.  Yet, anyway.  Maybe that's why I haven't noticed it yet, because it looks basically the same.  I'm not sure whether I will rush out and buy the 116 or not, as I was not too impressed with 112 compared to the 108.2.
