Nope, the first "N" has the right foreleg going backwards and the rear leg going forwards (around the turn).  The second "N" has both right legs going backwards in a full gallop to the finish.  They are different.

The second N also has a little apostrophe or some kind of mark on it as well. I find that easier to remember!

County ABC got me $22 OWA and $27 OFSig. A buddy with a business trip to Bardstown brought back the EC 125 proof 200 ml grenade. It was a good week.

All the Smooth Ambler talk got me, place I went to had at least 9 barrels to chose from three different strengths of 9,10 and 11 year olds. Being a noob I picked the highest proof 11 yr old.

In my mind, Sarah is 5'11", long straight blonde hair, and signs all bottles wearing a slim black dress.

If I'm wrong, please don't tell me.

I tried 6 barrels and my favorites were the 10yr 60% and the 11yr 45.9%

Awesome thanks!!!

No problem, if you google heaven hill fire, you can find the Parker and Craig Beam as well as Max Shipiro talking about it as well as some raw footage which is pretty insane.

For some strange reason, I really wanted to post a joking "spoiler alert" regarding Sarah.  To quote President Bush. "Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be pr" :) FWIW, I was thinking more about 5'6". Hell, 5'11" would be taller than me.

Cheers! Joe

Sarah is almost a legendary as Elmer T. Lee.  The folks at Smooth Ambler are great and Sarah is a part of their success.  James may sign onto some great bottles but he is no Sarah.

First and foremost sorry for your loss... I appreciate your Aunt's service

All great pickups If you've never had it the Belle Meade will be one you really like - it says Tennessee Bourbon but it's sourced likely from MGP but I've had several 9 yr SB's of it and have never been disappointed, the JJ Bowman is great as well IMHO and of course you already know the Blanton's - glad you were able to load up.

I've got a SB of the 10 year Belle Meade that my wife picked up when traveling for business. It clearly states on the label that it was distilled in Lawrenceburg, IN.

OK, I'm done leaving money here in Northern Virginia!

A 1792 125 pf Full Proof, a Belle Meade 9yr Single Barrel 105.1pf Tennessee bourbon, a John J. Bowman Single Barrel 100pf Virginia bourbon, and all eight (8) Blanton's 375ml "grenades" of goodness.  Also in the picture are two (2) of the weekend warriors (a Hibiki Harmony and an OWA) that gave their all at family functions this week (including a Memorial service for my aunt at Arlington National Cemetery).  We had about 20 family members travel from Hawaii for the service in spite of the snow/sleet storms in DC.  Now that's "Ohana" , people!

Glad you had some success while stopping through here. I don't really get the pricing of the 375s, but I'm definitely going to go that way when I need some Blantons. I don't know how the Bowman distribution is in Massachusetts, but the single barrel is good (like their small batch too).

edited to to add that A Smith Bowman also makes the Mary Hite Bowman Caramel Cream. It's pretty tasty if you want some Bourbon Cream and should be available in some ABCs (if you're still in town).
