This one was given to me, and I enjoyed it. The price is a bit high for me, so I won't actively seek another. I think I'm in the minority that prefers mashbill #1 to #2.

Dumped 6-7-17, emptied 6-7-18. It is good to share bottles with old friends that have new tastes for bourbon.

Visiting my sister in Minneapolis and brought last 25% of an EHSiB and RRSiB Binny’s K rickhouse pick.

Both sister and cousin preferred the RR and also guessed it was the lower proof pour. Interesting results.

Always great. One bottle left in the rapidly depleting bunker as I reevaluate the bottles I feel the need to stock multiples of.

Very much looking forward to trying gold and SFTB while over the pond later tgis month.

This was bottled in ‘11 or ‘12 and spent several years 4/5 full at my brothers. He gave it to me in February. Gone. Absolutely fantastic whiskey.

I had a bottle of that batch. Agree it was great. Had a super long finish.

Lost two bottles this week. Couple of days ago, I had a ER17 from 2013 go dry on me. I really liked the '13 version. Tonight saw the bottom of an ETL bottle. This was some older stock but not old enough. I can only imagine what some of the bottles he actually selected must have tasted like. I'm sure those will not be the only casualties as the weekend is just getting started. There are 2 more bottles that barely have a pour each left in them and would guess those make their way to the big green bin this weekend. Updates when those happen.

Another one gone. Did a SBS with the award winning B517 batch and agree that it was superior in every aspect. Still, the C917 is not to shabby on its own.

A nice way to end a day that included watching the Misses run a 5 mile race, watching my 9 year old nephew contribute to his baseball team winning by 1 run, and celebrating the mother in law's birthday with a very informal wine tasting.

Had a good week and a wonderful Father's Day with the Family today. The cabinet took a bit of a hit this week with these 4 bottles going down. Looks like it is time to restock from the bunker.IMG_1751.JPG
